Time

"Meliodas wake up!" Zeldris yelled, knocking on his brother's door. Meliodas groaned in annoyance, "what the hell do you want now?" 

"Get me food please." 

Meliodas sat up and glared at the now opened door, with Zeldris making a huge grin. "Why in the world would I get you food."

"Because you're my big brother and i'm lazy~" Zeldris continued to make his huge grin, "get Esta to do it." 

"But Esta's asleep too."Zeldris stated, making Meliodas face palm. "Why me out of the both of us?" 

"Because~ You're the older brother~" Zeldris smirked, making Meliodas sigh. 

"Besides, you're never home anymore. Do it for meee." Zeldris egged on, making his big brother scratch his head and leave his bed. 

Sighing, he took his phone. "What do you want me to get?" Zeldris' eyes lit up. "You know what I want at this time of the day."

"Ice cream, got it." Meliodas walked out and headed his way to the kitchen.

"Arthur!" Merlin called, finally getting close enough to Arthur to hold his shoulder. Making him stop, "Please get your hand off me, Merlin." Arthur stated calmly. 

Merlin slowly let go of his shoulder, as soon as she did, Arthur continued walking away again.  

Merlin felt that she needed to stop him, but she didn't move. She just watched him walk away again.

"I guess this is it?" Merlin told herself, "You let go so quickly." 

Arthur stopped walking, hearing what she said. He didn't face her, he couldn't after just walking away from her. 

"I.. didn't let go." Arthur finally spoke. "I didn't want this sudden drama between us, Merlin." 

"You just want to protect Elizabeth, I get it." Merlin stated, "But she can make her own decisions." 

"I know that." Arthur sighed, "You care so much about her, you like her, don't you?" Merlin finally asked. 

A years worth question, finally asked. 

Arthur went silent. "I used to." Merlin chuckled, "I know.", "But do you like her till now?" 

Arthur shook his head, "no, not anymore.", "she's just too precious to be hurt like that again." 

Merlin stayed quiet, not knowing what to say. Her years long question was finally answered. She felt light. 

"Trust her, Arthur." Was all she could say.

"I won't hurt her." 

The two of them looked at the person a few steps away from them, there stood Meliodas Drakon. 

Meliodas could see the sadness in both of their eyes as they had their conversation. 

He really did have horrible timing too.

"Arthur, I don't get anything that's happening so i'll just base off of what I just heard." 

"I get that you don't trust me, but I won't hurt Elizabeth."

"Do you know why I hate you, Drakon?" Arthur asked, "Because I bullied Elizabeth." 

"That's right, did you ever think that she was going to be alright and just brush it off?" Arthur asked, making Meliodas silent. 

"She almost did things that weren't too good for her. She couldn't even speak for herself for a few months when she came to us." 

"You fucking broke her, and as if nothing happened, you people just enter her life again." 

"I get the horrible things I did, I didn't know I caused so much pain." Meliodas sighed, "I'm sorry, Arthur, Merlin, for making you go through so much just because of my stupidity when I was young." 

"I know that I have a problem with my ego and pride, which drove me to do those horrible things. I can tell you that I have changed, and have no intention of hurting Elizabeth." 

"I know you wont trust me for now, Arthur, but just let everything go on its own time and let things go. You can't move forward if you just get stuck." 

"I know, this is bull coming from me." Meliodas paused, "But I never want to cause Elizabeth pain ever again." 

Arthur was drained and just sighed, "You know what? Fine." Merlin looked at him with a confused look. "What?" 

Arthur looked at Merlin, "It's only fair, i'm acting so immature." 

"I'm sorry too, I have to go. I'm tired." Arthur faced Meliodas and started walking away again, and the two just froze. 

As soon as Arthur was gone, Meliodas started walking forward until he reached Merlin and stopped. "give him time to think, you need some time too."
