Rude

The day went on and Meliodas was highly annoyed by Elizabeth. Not only did he not understand why Elizabeth was constantly glaring at him and seemed to be in the baddest mood, it was that they had homework. 

 "Class dismissed." With the same time as the bell rang, everyone started to stand up and leave the room. 

Everyone headed to their dorms and immediately did their homework, it was a simple math equation that they couldn't finish in class. 

Out of the three girls, Elizabeth was the first one to be done, she lied down on her bed, it was quiet until Elizabeth groaned in pain. 

"How you holding up?" Merlin asked, not looking away from her paper. "It's like a knife's stabbing me in my lower abdomen" 

"Good luck for a week of torture."

The week was indeed filled with torture. 

On the next day, her seatmate still didn't know what was happening to her.

Elizabeth still had a nasty look towards Meliodas and didn't give him much attention due to her constant headaches and the pain on her lower abdomen.

Meliodas looked at Elizabeth during class at one point and saw her on the verge of tears. 

Meliodas, not knowingly, asked her if she was alright.

He nudged her and she looked at him, "you okay there?" the worry in his voice made Elizabeth freeze for some reason. It was probably because she never actually heard Meliodas sound worried.

Though instead of a nice reply, Elizabeth blurted out the words, "none of your business."

Meliodas was offended, the one time he asks her a genuine question, he gets her rudeness right off the bat.

He glared at her, "What's up with you? I just asked if you were alright!" 

Elizabeth rolled her eyes, "and I said it's none of your business." 

Meliodas just gave up at this point, realizing that he wasn't going anywhere if he talked to her any further.

After classes, Meliodas stood up and walked towards Ban and King. "let's go"

"huh? hey--" Ban didn't even know what was happening as he just got dragged out of the classroom. 

"What was that about?" Ban asked, Meliodas sighed. "I'm pissed."

"Elizabeth?" King asked, not even trying and Ban laughed. "again?" 

"You try to be nice and get a rude answer!" Meliodas exclaimed. Ban snorted, "you were being nice?"

Meliodas' face turned red, "Yeah, what of it!"

"It's like someone's starting to care." King chuckled. "I'm not." Meliodas deadpanned.

Ban pat Meliodas' back, "she's probably having a bad day."

"Fuck no she isn't." Meliodas mumbled as he received another glare on the next day.

It was Miss Jade's class and they had a group work outside. Everyone was separated from their group of friends and Meliodas and Elizabeth were in the same group.

When the bell rang, everybody started to go back to the classroom. Meliodas was about to leave when he saw Elizabeth sitting on the floor.

"What the hell are you doing?" Meliodas asked, Elizabeth just looked at him. She couldn't possibly say she couldn't move because her uterus is being sawed in half. 

"The bell rang already." Meliodas stated, "I know."

Meliodas turned around and started to walk away, thinking that Elizabeth would stand up and leave, since her friends already went inside with their groups.

Meliodas glanced back and saw Elizabeth still sitting there, but in a new position. She was curled up in a ball. "What the fuck is she doing."

Meliodas sighed and went back to her, he tapped her head and she looked up. When she looked up, Meliodas' hand was in front of her face.

"C'mon, we'll be late for the next period."

It didn't take long until Elizabeth took his hand, once she stood up, the pain from her uterus doubled, which made her double over.

Meliodas thought that she was gonna fall over, so he caught her. They stayed in that position until Meliodas felt Elizabeth's body temperature. She was burning up.

"What the heck, you're burning. We're going to the nurse." With that, Meliodas helped Elizabeth walk towards the nurse's office.

Both of them were silent on the way there, both in their thoughts.

Meliodas was questioning why he was helping her, and so was Elizabeth. Meliodas' gesture helped Elizabeth differentiate the Meliodas now and the Meliodas who bullied her.

But as of now, Elizabeth knew that even if Meliodas had changed, it wouldn't easily change Elizabeth's hatred for him that easily.

"We're here." Meliodas knocked on the door and the nurse opened it. Once Elizabeth sat down, Meliodas gave her a tiny salute before leaving.

Meliodas came back to the classroom with all eyes on him. "Mr. Drakon, you're late. Why is that?" The teacher asked as soon as he step foot in the classroom.

"And where is Ms. Liones?" Everyone stared at Meliodas, some thinking that he could have done something bad to her.

"I'm truly sorry, sir. I took Ms. Liones to the nurse's office because she looked a bit under the weather." Meliodas explained. The teacher nodded at him, "A gentleman you are, Mr. Drakon. Go take your seat."

As he walked towards his chair, he could feel the confusion in some of the students in the class.

"You did what now?" Ban asked with a sly smile as they ate their lunch. "took her to the nurse, no big deal. I mean, you'd do it." Meliodas shrugged, making Ban laugh.

"More the reason to be surprising, you did it. I mean, i'd do it because i'm a gentleman, but you? I don't think so." Ban shook his head, making Meliodas rise his brow. 

"So i'm not a gentleman now?" With Meliodas' tone, Ban knew he ticked him off. Ban laughed, "I mean, when have you?" 

Meliodas slammed his hand on his table, but not strong enough to get anyone's attention. "I actually have been. You trying to tick me off, Devoss?" 

Ban gave him a challenging look, which Meliodas understood. "Fine." Meliodas huffed, making Ban grin evilly. 

The bell soon rang and they went back to class, where they saw Elizabeth, back from the nurse's office. 

"This'll be good~"
