Sugar

"Liones!" Meliodas called out, making Elizabeth laugh and look at him with a huge smile. Meliodas didn't know what he was feeling but her wide smile just made him smile back. 

"Where to?" Meliodas asked, bubble tea in hand. Elizabeth grabbed his free hand and with a smile, dragged him towards the park. 

"O-okay." was all he could say. What could he do against a girl that's having a sugar rush?

Inside the park, Elizabeth basically tired both of them out. They ran around, drank more of their bubble teas and walked around some more. 

And a few pee breaks, with either Meliodas trying to relax and sit down waiting for Elizabeth or Elizabeth going after dogs that were walking past her while she waited for Meliodas. 

"Hey, aren't you tired?" Meliodas asked, physically drained. "Hm? are you? we can go to this nice quiet place here. It's a bit secluded, let's go." 

Elizabeth held Meliodas' hand this time and guided him. Meliodas couldn't help but stare at their hands, he felt a bit giddy. 

And there was it, a few benches near trees. It was a peaceful sight and Elizabeth dragged him once again to one of the vacant seat. 

Once they were sat, Meliodas sighed in relief, making Elizabeth laugh. "Were you always this energetic?" 

"Sugar." with one answer, Meliodas understood. "Okay noted, control your sugar intake." 

Elizabeth looked offended and pouted, crossing her arms. Meliodas found this really cute and couldn't help but chuckle. 

"Well, that was an experience." Meliodas shrugged, Elizabeth nodded, still having about 10% of her sugar rush present.  "I liked it, it was fun." he added.

"Yeah, I like you too."

"I wonder if they're kissing." Diane joked, making King snort. "That's a bit quick, right?" 

"Well, she could have said something she doesn't mean." Merlin shrugged. 

Everyone was hanging out, they were staying at the boy's dorm. "What do you mean?~" Ban asked. 

"Well, if she's high on sugar, it's like she's drunk." Arthur stated, "What's odd is she doesn't drink alcohol yet she acts drunk when in her sugar rush, when it's almost ending." 

"Oh, then let's see." Diane thought of the safest possibility. "And if she said she likes him?" 

"Possible." Gowther shrugged. Everyone in the room had the same thought, and they wanted it to happen.

"What?" Meliodas looked at her and suddenly felt her lean on him.

She passed out. 

Meliodas' couldn't help but blush and face palm. "What did she just say?" He asked himself.

I like you too.

"Oh God, I didn't think you'd say it first." He mumbled, smiling, watching Elizabeth soft asleep. 

Meliodas let her sleep on his lap as he thought about what he'd do next. "Maybe that was just bullshit." He mumbled to himself again, "Maybe it isn't real." 

Meliodas looked down at the sleeping girl. "Hey Elizabeth." He said, and suddenly, Elizabeth moved, which freaked him out. But, she was still asleep.  

After calming down, Meliodas sighed, "I like you." He chuckled. "I've liked you for a looong time, but you of all people can guess that I had to deal with my pride." 

Meliodas put a hand on her hair and played with it, he suddenly had memories of all those times he made her feel horrible. 

"I don't know if having feelings for you would matter, since I did ruin everything for you before.", "Maybe if I didn't do all that, it wouldn't be complicated." 

With one last stroke of her hair, he took a deep breath. "I'm so sorry." 

"It's okay."

"what if they have sex?!" Diane gasped obnoxiously. Ban swatted her head with a piece of paper, "Jesus, Diane~" 

"Whaat~" Diane whined, rubbing her head while King laughed at her. "I was joking~" She added. 

"Yeah, but we all know those two wouldn't do that." Merlin chuckled. "They're actually too pure it's funny." Gowther stated.

Meliodas froze as he heard Elizabeth reply. He thought she was asleep the whole time. "Y-you were awake the whole time?" 

"Maybe," Elizabeth answered, her head still on his lap. "So, you heard everything I said?" 

She stayed silent for a bit, "probably." 

"You remember what you told me?" 

"A hundred percent." 

Silence.

 "Let's go?" 

"Let's." 

Hence, an awkward walk home. Both of them were silent on the way to their dorms, however, Meliodas was able to say something. 

"I'll take you to your dorm, if that's alright." He stated awkwardly. 

This made Elizabeth smile, "Alright." , "You're cute when you're awkward, Drakon." 

"Quit making me blush, Liones."

And all of the sudden, they awkwardness and silence was gone. Replaced with cute banter.

As soon as both of them were at her dorm, Elizabeth opened the door and Meliodas was just waiting for her to enter. 

But when she was about to enter, she turned around and quickly kissed Meliodas' cheek. It surprised Meliodas, making him just stand there as Elizabeth entered saying, "See you tomorrow." Before closing the door. 

"Did she just?"

Pause. 

"She has to stop doing that."

Elizabeth locked the door and ran to her bed and began crushing her pillow in a hug. "I can't believe I did that, I can believe I said that, I cant believe he said that!" With every 'I can't believe', it got louder. But luckily, it was muffled by the pillow. 

Elizabeth couldn't help but feel happy, and continued to hug her pillow as she waited for the girls get to their dorm.

Meliodas slammed the door opened once he got to their dorm, only to reveal a group of teenagers watching a movie and chips in their hands.

"Hey~" Ban grinned as usual, making Meliodas fake grin back, trying to cover up the fact that he was still shocked. 

"I am sensing something different, did something happen?" Obviously, Gowther of all people pointed it out. 

"Maybe." Meliodas answered, walking past them and heading to his bed. "What happened?" King asked, standing up and turning down the volume of the movie.  

"Nothing important." He said as he sunk his head in his pillow. "The sinking of head in the pillow doesn't help." 

"Did something happen with Elizabeth?" Arthur asked, this made Meliodas flinch, which everyone saw. 

"Oh, someone has something to spill~"
