So some of you asked for a recap of what happened in the last chapter because, I admit, it was a bit confusing.
Rui had two children, Celia and Wylie. Those two children eventually got married and had their own children. Wylie went on to have three children with his wife and his youngest son got married and had two sons, and this eventually led down to the mother of Karasu, and then to Karasu and her siblings. In chapter 79, there was a paragraph that discreetly mentioned that blue eyes where a strong trait in Rui's bloodline, and that there had never been someone in his family without blue eyes. So yeahhhh. Karasu, Sakura's student, is a descendant of Rui and has his blue eyes. (i'm sorry)
There will be a recap of the character and their names at the bottom of this chapter.
The soft click of the stopwatch barely reached Karasu's ears over the sound of her heavy breathing. Panting, she bent over before dropping into a crouch, her head in between her legs.
"Sixteen minutes and forty-eight seconds. That's a new record! And one to be proud of at that." Sakura complemented from her perch in a nearby tree. She hopped down and plopped down cross legged under the shade of the large oak. She patted the ground beside her and watched intently as her student collapsed beside her.
Sakura took off her mask and glanced at Karasu. The fourteen-year-old was growing into quite the beauty, and Sakura mourned the fact that she would not get to see how beautiful she would be with the necklace.
"Karasu, let's get you home early today, so we can go bounty hunting tomorrow." Sakura's approach to training was completely different from her master's, she was also teaching Karasu how to survive and make money once she was gone.
The walk from the gates of the small village to Karasu's house was short but allowed just enough time for some playful banter between the two women. Stepping into the air-conditioned house was like heaven for sweaty Karasu. "Ma! I'm home!"
Karasu's mother, Mia, just as pretty as the day Sakura had first barged into their house, peeked her head around the corner. "Ah, welcome home, honey. Hello, Sakura. I just came back from work, so I haven't started on dinner yet. But if you're willing to wait a while, you're welcome to stay for dinner!" Mia chirped.
"That would be great, Mia." Sakura beamed at the younger woman. "Karasu and I will just be in her room, mediation, the usual."
"'Kay," Mia called in response, stepping back into the kitchen.
Sakura and Karasu headed to the bedroom and took their usual places, Karasu sitting cross legged on the ground and Sakura flipped down on her bed. There were some days where Sakura joined her student in meditation, but she usually just napped away or read a new romance novel. Today she chose neither, simply toying with her hair and daydreaming.
"Karasu, honey, cut my hair for me it's gotten too long." Karasu snapped out of her mediation to glance over at Sakura.
She was about to respond when her mother's voice called from the first level. "Dinner!"
"Sure," Karasu smiled, standing up and stretching upwards, "I'll cut it after dinner. Want to sleep over?"
Sakura also got up, following down the stairs, "Nah, I have something to do." Karasu turned her head at the bottom of the stairs and raised an eyebrow at Sakura but didn't question. They entered the dining room to find Karasu's brother's just sitting down. "Izuki, how's the life as a jounin teacher under the extended Konoha division? I heard you had your first mission with your team yesterday?" She sat down beside Sakura and served herself the food in front of her.
The eldest beamed at the pink haired woman, "Yeah it was great Sakura, the mission was quite dull but I'm really seeing a lot of potential in these kids."
The father of this house hold, Toshi, butted in at that moment, "You're talking like an old man yet you're twenty-three and still have yet to move out! Where's that girlfriend of yours? Get married already."
"Jeez dad, kicking out your own son? How rude." Izuki quipped with a cheeky smile. Sakura had a feeling that, despite always joking about never leaving he would be finding his own house soon enough.
"And you, Miro?" Sakura spoke once again, turning to the middle child. "Are you abandoning me as your part time trainer? I heard you've gotten a few offers from different masters after getting into jounin, I would take that swordsman's offer."
"Not even going to ask how you know about that." The eighteen-year-old hunched over his food, rolling his eyes playfully.
The rest of dinner continued with some more similar chatter before it ended. Sakura assisted the two brothers in cleaning up the dishes as Karasu went upstairs to grab the scissors and the two parents went to watch tv in the halls.
Sakura, standing there washing the dishes, was the happiest she had ever been.
*IMPORTANT PLEASE READ*
So theres two options, either I develop more into Karasu's personality and life or I wrap this story up by the hundredth chapter. What do you guys think? I'm kinda leaning towards wrapping this up because I've already incorporated the important parts and extending it would be very unnecessary.
