Soooooo. For those of you who have watched the actually movie, remember that badass final battle they had? Yeah, no. I'm gonna completely skip that. Surprise? I feel like you guys should have known this was coming considering I skip almost every awesome battle that was featured in the original storyline (Sakura & Chiyo vs Sasori, Naruto vs Pein, etc.)

But hey, you guys have stuck with me (for some odd, odd, reason that I have yet to understand) so I'm hoping you'll survive this one too.

"No! What is the meaning of this?" Toneri thundered, Hinata's wrist tightly in his grasp. "How did you destr–" He crumpled to the ground, Sakura's hand stationed where his head was.

"Oki. Take the eyes back, Hinata." Hinata, still not used to Sakura nonchalance, hassled to obey. "And now we're gonna have to do something with this guy or he's just gonna do the same thing over again." Sakura really didn't feel like killing Toneri. He was a decent guy if you disregarded the fact that he stole a twelve year old's eyes and was trying to destroy the world.

"Let's take him to the cave with all those tomb stones." Hinata was surprised yet again when Sakura didn't question and simply hoisted Toneri onto her shoulder.

"The boys are here."

The boys had indeed arrived on Sai's ink birds. Naruto, upon hearing of what the two kunoichi had done in their absence, scooped Hinata into his arms, confessed his undying love for her, and then gave her a long smooch on the lips.

Rui slinked up to Sakura's side, swung an arm over her shoulder and pulled her into a tight one armed hug. "Dummy. Why'd you leave me to grab all the action for yourself? And I thought we were friends."

Pink is an especially bright colour when put beside black. So when Sakura was walking side by side with Rui, her hair was looking more vibrant than usual, and that was saying a lot.

"So Toneri stayed on the moon after he realized he was wrong?" Rui asked.

"Yep." Sakura chirped, frowning when she noticed just how short she was in comparison to Rui. The top of her head only just brushed his shoulder. She didn't know if she was short or if he was tall, or maybe it was a little bit of both.

"And Naruto and Hinata finally dating?"

"Yep." She started walking on the tips of he toes.

"And you approve of me proposing to Lihn even though we've only been together for two years—which is a long time, so I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Yep." Now she was eye level with his shoulder. She frowned, dropping back down to her feet.

Rui suddenly stopped and solemnly looked Sakura in her bright green eyes. Sakura stopped, her smile dropping as she stared back. A thick and serious silence settled between the two, adding an air of suspense to the conversation.

A light breeze blew by, ruffling the tips of their hair and shaking up the leaves. The park they were walking in seemed eerily empty. A lone dog barked in the distance.

Rui was the first to break the silence. "So this 'Naruto The Last arc' is finally over?"

Sakura bobbed her pink head, expression serious. "Yep."

The two blinked suddenly as if coming out of a daze. "What just happened?" Rui wondered out loud.

"I think we were just possessed by the author of this fanfic." Sakura replied calmly.

"What."
