The Queen of Masks [Sakura Haruno Story]

When Kakashi had went to the Hokage off a mission report, the first thing he mentioned was not the fact that Tazuna had lied to them and had ninjas after him. It was not the fact that the team was attacked by the famed rouge, Zabuza, who is now dead (a noble death, might I add). It was not the fact that Sasuke had nearly died, or the fact that Naruto had released some of the Kyubi chakra. Instead, he reported on the fact that they had encountered the Queen of Masks, and she had spoken to them (well, Sakura specifically).

This shocked the old Hokage, for there had been no news of the Queen for over 13 years, and many had assumed her dead. By natural causes of course. No one could kill the Queen of Masks.

It had been many weeks since Team 7's encounter with the Queen of Masks. But no one dared speak a word of it, they were all scared out of their minds, even Sasuke. The Queen's very presence had made their insides twist into knots.

Sakura was especially frightened. Student? What did the Queen mean by that? And why was she so interested in Sakura, and not Sasuke or Naruto or Kakashi? Why her of all people. There was nothing, and she believed this with all of her heart, special about Sakura Haruno (well, except for the hair colour).

As the days dragged on and on, and the missions given to Team 7 became duller and duller, the team was hoping for something exciting to happen. This something came to them in the form of the Chunin Exams.
