"I bet he'll ask you out soon" As soon as I said that, her phone rang

"Hello?...... Sounds good.... I'll see you at 12 by the ice cream stand at the beach" She hung up and smiled from ear to ear.

"Let me guess, he asked you out?"

"YES! *gasp* Can you help me with what I should wear?"

"Why don't you go ask him? Like you're gonna listen to my opinion anyways" I said while rolling my eyes

"of course I would listen to your opinion, and I understand now that whenever you get cocky, it means you're jealous. Honestly its kinda cute that you're jealous, but come on you're an amazing guy. You'll find someone worth your time. I mean who wouldn't like you? You have stunning green eyes, a cute smile, and you're a fun guy... that is, when you're not being an asshole" she laughed

"yeah ok"

I glanced over at her, and she tried for a winning smile. "Don't let anything I say or do get to you in a negative way. Fill your life with positivity. Learn to ride the waves and not let the riptide pull you down. Life is bound to have its ups and downs."

"Dang that was some logic stuff. Um, hello Dr.Phil"

We shared a laugh and during that moment, we made eye contact and just as I was about to sit next to her, Jack rushed into the room.

"JONAH! Oh hi, Annelise."

"hey?"

"Whats wrong Jack?" I asked impatiently

"Nothing, I just needed to make sure everything was ok."

"BRO!"

"Also, I was making a sandwich when I realized we were out of mayo, and everyone else is sleeping," he said using hand gestures

"I hope you're not thinking that I'll drive to the supermarket and get you some mayo"

"Aww, dang it"

"We'll get some mayo tomorrow"

"But, my sandwich..."

"sorry bro, you're gonna have to eat it without mayo"

"*gasp* fine, just because of that, I'm going to take one of your Adidas hoodies.... oh wait looks like Annelise beat me to it"
