[Anneliese's P.O.V]

I was having a good time with Aspen, we talked about my problems, her problems, our life, our hobbies and all that interesting thing. The moment was ruined when my phone rang.
"I'm sorry I have to take this, it's mom"
"Of course" she got up and left the room. I opened the back door and took in the LA view.
"Hello?"
"Hey Annie"
"Mom?"
"I think it's time we talked, one on one. In person"
"What for?"
"Just... just meet me on Hollywood Blvd in 20 minutes"
"Where on Hollywood Blvd?"
"The Hollywood Walk Of Fame" she replied with an impatient tone
"Which star?"
"Marilyn Monroe!"
And like that she hung up. I hadn't given it much thought until I got in my car that she sounded scared. Her voice was shaking and she sounded like she needed my help. I got to Marilyn Monroe's star and found my mother waiting for me.
"Oh good Anneliese, you came"
"Of course. What do you need me to do?"
"Come with me"
She walked down a dark ally. She occasionally looked back to make sure I didn't run away. I won't lie, I was pretty nervous, but she's my mother. She wouldn't hurt me. Finally we stopped in front of metal door. She knocked and 3 shady looking fellas open the door.
"Mom what is this?"
The guy up front smiled down at me, "don't you know who we are?" He asked with a smirk
I just shook my head
"Oh how strange, you mean your sister didn't tell you either?"
"M-mom what's he talking about? What did Amanda do?"
She didn't respond, she was too busy crying
"Mom?"
She took a deep breath, "Anneliese sweetheart," she cupped my cheeks, "you have to understand what I'm doing is not to harm you in any way"
I looked at her like she just grew another head. She looked at the men and gave a simple nod. The men tied my hands behind my back and opened the door to reveal a beaten up Amanda. They pushed her out the door and she fell on her knees.
"Oh Amanda sweetie, what were you thinking? Are you hurt? What did they do to you?"
"I'm sorry mom I wasn't thinking I just wanted to show you that I can do things on my own for once"
They got up and couldn't look me in the eyes
"So what now? Huh? You're just gonna leave me here? How could you do this to me mom?!"
"Anneliese you have to stop calling her mom" Amanda grunted
"What? Why?"
"Cuz she's not your mother"
"What are you saying?"
"You're adopted"
