Roommates [Jonah Marais]

Beach Party

We arrived at the beach and i saw Nicholas standing near a palm tree. I relaxed my shoulders and walked towards him.
"Annelise you came! For a second I thought that you wouldn't come because you didn't trust me"
"I - of course I trust you. I completely understand if you were busy"
He looked at Jonah and his eyes widen with fear. I looked at Jonah and Nicholas and sensed a bad tension between them. Jonah kept glaring at him and then he would look at him with a blank expression which caused Nicholas to get more nervous.
"Hey um Annelise would it be cool if i talked to um .... what's your name?"
He didn't answer him. He just kept staring blankly at him
"His name is Jonah"
"Oh ok, um is it cool if i talked to Jonah alone for a while?"
"If it's fine with Jonah"
Jonah didn't answer. Finally he said, "fine"
Nicholas exhaled in relief. They walked over to the nearby lemonade booth. Nicholas kept talking and Jonah just stood there. I couldn't hear what they were saying but I'm guessing it's pretty important cuz they were using a lot of hand gestures. They started yelling and looking back at me. Nicholas raised his arms up in a 'I give up' gesture. They walked back to me and Nicholas smiled as if nothing happened.
"So, I had something in mind. We could go to a party my friend was throwing."
"Yeah that sounds like fun, it's fine if Jonah came along right?"
"Of course! The more the better"
We all walked to the party and it was actually really awesome. There was a DJ and a bunch of refreshments. Jonah put his guard down and started to enjoy himself. I spent the 3 hours with Nicholas and it was honestly the best time I've ever had.

[Jonah's P.O.V]
I only went to the party to look after Annelise. Why else would I go to a party some douché and his douché friend threw? To waste my time? I rather eat another raw fish sandwich. I go to the bathroom and who do I find flirting and kissing another girl? Nicholas. Surprise surprise. Annelise has no clue that he's a fucking player and if I tried telling her, she would only think I'm jealous and making up some stupid story. What does she even see in him? Sure he has blue eyes, I kinda have blue eyes! That fuckin idiot doesn't even realize that this is the second time I caught him cheating on Annelise. She deserves so much better. She deserves someone who would love her and not cheat on her. She deserves someone who would look out for her, protect her from any danger. She deserves someone who would never break her, mentally or physically. She deserves someone..... not me
