birthday surprise

chapter 10

(Lizzy's pov)
When we get to the hospital we go in to the waiting room and I go to sit alone away from the boys, hoping no one will talk to me. Then I get a text from Zach.
Zach: are we gonna talk about what happened?
Me: there's no need too. we kissed and i cheated on Jack and then he found out the worst way possible.
Zach: i don't regret what we did
Me: well i do. and now because of that i lost one of my best friends and the best boyfriend ive ever had
Zach: you still have me :)
Me: i don't think we should. jack doesn't deserve that. we're done talking.
I turn my phone completely off so i don't get any more texts. A few minutes later Corbyn comes and sits next to me.
"I'm sorry about what I said earlier." he says.
"No. You were right, it was my fault. I never should done that." I say bursting into tears. He doesn't say anything, he just puts his arm around me and I lean on his shoulder. We sit there until the doctor comes out.
"His head is cut open pretty bad, but not enough to cause serious permanent damage. We're going to keep him here until tomorrow, and then he can go home. But make sure he doesn't do anything stressful, or have anything else happen to him." Corbyn and Zach both look at me as he says that.
"Thank you so much." Jonah tells the doctor. He then goes to the front desk to pay any bill.
"Let me." I say walking up. "It's my fault he's in here anyway."

the next day...
I'm at the boys' house waiting for Daniel to get home with Jack. Jonah sits next to me and says, "last night you said it was your fault jacks in the hospital again. I wanted you to know it's not. He fell and hit his head, that can happen to anyone. He just got out of surgery and that's why he went to the hospital. Don't worry about it."
"Yes it is, Jonah. It is my fault." I say quietly, looking down. Zach was on his phone, but I could tell he was listening to every word coming out of my mouth. So was Corbyn.
"I was kissing someone else and he saw."
"Who?" Zach and I both make eye contact and I quickly look away.
"You and... Zach?" Jonah says, following my gaze. Daniel and Jack  walk in just as he said that.
"Dude seriously, I'm fine. You don't have to carry me into my house." Jack says pushing Daniel off of him.
"Okay fine! But if you fall again its on you." Daniel says surrending.
"Hey Jack! How are you feeling buddy?" Jonah says with a fake smile.
"Better than ever." Jack glares at him. He sits down on the couch across the room from me. We make eye contact and he groans. Jonah goes and sits next to him and Daniel takes the spot next to me. Corbyn sits on the other side of Jack.
"Hey Jack.." Zach says, sitting up straighter.
"Corbyn, Jonah! Great to see you again." Jack says glaring and Zach.
"Is everything alright?" Daniel asks.
"Oh, everything is perfect! My girlfriend made out with my best friend! Neither of them has even said sorry. Life is great." Jack says sarcasticly. Daniel looks at me and Zach confused.
"You and Zach...?" I shake my head yes.
