chapter 17

"That's what I'm talking about. Lizzy he is just playing with you. I don't want your feelings to get hurt. I don't want Jack's feelings to get hurt. You both deserve better. I don't want you talking to Matt." Logan tells me. I don't say anything else for the rest of the car ride home. I didn't know what to think, so I decided to text him a few hours later.
Me: hey Matt, it's Lizzy.
He responds back pretty quickly.
Matt: hey liz! i hope it's alright if i call you that ;)
Of course I'm not okay with that, only Jack can call me Liz. But that's not the point, I came here for answers.
Me: so i asked around about you (no offense) and some people said youre a total player. is this true?
Matt: ofc it's not true. but who said that lol
Me: just some friends. but i saw you with some girls...
Matt: what?! when did you see me
Me: earlier. i was coming back from the set and i saw you in the car with them
Matt: oh!! i remember now. yeah those girls are just my sisters
Me: oh okay. sry for asking then.

"those girls are just my sisters." I had a hard time believing that, because they all looked the same age, and nothing alike. I didn't see any of them at rehearsals and so I dont know where they all came from. But pretty soon it was time to start getting ready for my date with Jack.

I put on my gray "Avery" merch shirt, some black ripped jeans, and black vans. I straightened my hair. I put on some natural makeup, but added a wing on my eyes for an extra touch. I hear s kick on the door and go to answer it. I see a curly headed boy wearing a black and white suit with a black bow tie on it.
"Go change. We're going somewhere fancy tonight." I turn around and shut the door in his face. When he sees the back of my shirt he says, "I'm flattered you wore my shirt by the way!" After he says that I turn around with a smile and flip him off.
"Love you too!" He yells back. I get up to my room and look for something different to wear. I dig out an old black dress that's above my knees and has no back. I change into some black heels and start walking down the stairs.
"How do I look?" I ask Jack.
"You look wonderful." Says Logan, coming out of no where. He puts his arm around me and whispers, "I see youve made your choice. Don't worry, you wont regret it." into my ear while walking me to the door.
"Be home by 11!" He shouts to both of us as we were walking out the door.

We walked up to his car and he opened and shut the door for me, then went over onto his side and got in.
"You really do look beautiful." He said with one hand on the wheel and the other resting on my thigh.
"You don't look to bad yourself." I say smiling at him.

We arrive at the state steakhouse an hour later.
"Are you ready, my love?" He says while opening the door for me.
"For what?" I ask, getting out. He winks in response. We walk up to the front desk and once he says it's for Jack. The servers started rushing around and showing us to our booth. It's in the back of the restaurant, has dim lighting, and there are blue and white daisies in a clear vase sitting in the middle of the table.
"Just to make sure, you ordered the medium rare steak with a side of ranch, onion rings, and a well done steak?" The waiter asks.
"Yep." Jack says smiling at me.
"It'll be right up." The waiter walks away.
"How'd you know?" I ask Jack. Ranch is a must when it comes to steak. And he even got the medium rare part right.
"I have my sources." He winks at me. Boy, if I had a nickel every time he has winked at me, I'd be rich.
A few minutes later the servers come out with our food in the silver containers. They are followed by 4 boys, Jonah, Corbyn, Daniel, and Zach, and they start singing Tell Me. Jack also gets up and starts singing too. While they were singing I felt my phone vibrate a few times, but I just figured it was Jake or Logan texting me, so I left it alone. After the song Jack got down on one knee and reached into his pocket. He pulls out...
