Fumi's POV.

I feel so wrong with myself right now. I know exactly what Lord Kazekage is doing, and why he wants this done. It hurts me internally. I admired this girl. This beautiful girl, who appeared out of nowhere and was sealed into this lizard. Who trusted us enough to help her. Why does it hurt me this much? I've known this girl since the day I was put on this mission.

{Flashback-a week after Mai met Rasa and Karura}

"Get that scroll sealed and sent to the aviary so it can be mailed." I ordered to the others I was working with. Today was a particularly slow day. Not much to be researched or decoded at all. Sighing I walked back to my office. Usually when things get busy here it means something happened so our department having a slow day meant that everything was generally ok. But it meant boredom for us. I passed so many of my co-workers that had nothing to do, some even began playing cards. I made my way into my office only to be stopped by the Kazekage himself.

"Lord Kazekage!" shocked, I bowed down. "Pfft! They actually respect you?! Oh man that's precious!! Imagine what they would do if they saw the color and patterns of your underwear!!!!" I heard a feminine voice laugh out. Who dare say that about our Kazekage?! I looked up in disbelief. "HOLD YOUR TONGUE REPTILE!!" Lord Kazekage demanded looking like he wanted very much to murder the lizard on his shoulder.

{Flashback over}

Yes. That day was surprising. My division was assigned a special secret mission to find a way to get this girl out of the body she was currently sharing and into her own. I smiled while strapping on my gear. She had been so disrespectful. I had not believed anything the Kazekage said that day, about a girl being sealed into a lizard. It seemed absolutely ridiculous and extremely childish and silly.

But then one day, about six months after the mission was assigned, a extremely foreign looking girl walked into my office demanding to know what progress we had made in the mission. What baffled me was that this girl sounded exactly like the lizard Lord Kazekage had with him. I had been reluctant to tell anything to this beautiful girl, no matter how pretty she was. I wasn't about to bend because of something so dishonorable. Not only had she proved that she was the same lizard but she had spoken so foul towards me also. It left me completely baffled. Girls, especially ladies who looked like they belonged in the daimyo's palace, didn't speak with such offensive words. It left my co-workers surprised as well, seeing as anyone could hear her words in a ten mile radius. I remember myself speaking only one word after watching her storm out of my office. I remember hearing the word "Wow" fall from my mouth.

I quietly chuckled to myself as I recounted everything in my ninja and kunai pouches. That day I realized a girl really had been sealed into a lizard, and we were assigned to help her. I had kicked up the entire division's work effort up into high gear. The days got longer and longer as time went on. We constantly hit bumps in the road and there had been a fair amount of ninja whom had heard we were researching the afterlife, dead host, soul transfers, the reaper seal and much more. Most of which had attacked us in an attempt to find out what we were doing and our motives. All of which failed in their attacks. There had been so many times I wanted to give and dub this a failed mission. My men had stressed themselves not only with this but with other things that came in and needed to be searched and coded and decoded. With this mission, came stresses that we hadn't faced for awhile. But every time we wanted to throw the towel in, a certain girl that was sealed into a lizard would drop by and yell at us. And offensive as her words may have been, we all understood that she was young and scared, in fact she wasn't much older then many of us in the division. She trusted us enough and placed her dependence on us. She leaned on us and trusted us to help her. For the first time, in a long time, my men felt like they where needed.
