It had been nearly two weeks since the warehouse and the farm had been lost. It has been nearly two weeks since arriving in Cranbury, a small town of survivors in which Richard King ruled over. It had been two weeks since anyone had seen a zombie, nobody had left Cranbury since their arrival. Nobody really wanted to go anywhere, it was nice being safe and not having to guard a fence or hope nothing was sneaking up on you in a field full of corn. It had been nearly two weeks since everyone arrived to Cranbury and finally something was forming, a plan to leave Cranbury. A plan devised by Richard himself, a plan he had made after speaking to Renard and Adalyn just two weeks before.
"Why did he want us all here?" Asked Edgar as he stood up from the wooden chair in Donny's kitchen.
"He said he wanted to talk to us, I don't know why." Donny told his brother. "Just relax."
"Relax? Why would I do that?" Asked Edgar. "I've been here two weeks and not once has that man said anything to me since my interview."
"Ed, calm down." Kaitlyn told him as she wrapped her arms around his waist wrapping him into a backwards type of hug.
Edgar sighed, "Okay."
"He probably wants to ask us if we're all ok. Right?" Asked Abraham.
"Well then why aren't we all here?" Charlie pitched in.
"Well, that's tr-" Donny was interrupted by a knock on his front door.
"I got it." Said Brett as he walked a few feet to the door.
Brett then opened the door, Richard was there in a white button down shirt, black pants, and dress shoes.
"What's the occasion?" Asked Donny as Richard walked inside, he had a bag in his hand.
Richard was smiling wide. "I came here to ask you all a very important question."
"And that is?" Abraham tried helping Richard just get on with it already.
"Alright, before I say anything else. I want you to know that you can say no." Said Richard.
"Ok, now c'mon already. What is it?" Donny laughed.
"Tomorrow I have made the plans to leave Cranbury." Said Richard.
"Leave?" Edgar asked. He seemed a bit interested.
"Yes, I have already made arrangements. I want to go to New York, to the port where Renard and Adalyn had been at with their cruise ship, which was how they got to America in the first place." Richard told them all.
"Why would you want to go there?" Asked Kaitlyn.
"Because I'd like to see if there's anybody still there and the ship may not have been looted." Said Richard.
"But in New York, like the city?" Asked Edgar. "Isn't that like really dangerous?"
"I'm not sure. It could be, I haven't been there in over two years." Said Richard.
"Well the city was dangerous without flesh eating dead people running at you." Said Charlie. "Now that's reality, so probably not a great idea."
"Well, I'm gonna try getting to that cruise ship. Both Renard and Adalyn said they'd go." Said Richard.
"You're gonna let a girl go out there?" Donny asked.
"She's old enough. She's older than Noah and he saved all of you." Richard reminded him. "And Noah's going as well, along with Crash and DeMeko."
"Well, I'll go." Edgar said as he forced his way from Kaitlyn's hug.
"You will!" Richard was shocked to see Edgar step up.
