The sun shined bright over the small yellow house that Edgar and his family had once resided. Down in the basement, in his room, Edgar laid in the bed sleeping along with his newly engaged partner. Upstairs in the living room Noah and Aryan had been sleeping on the couches, both of them snoring... peacefully. Then the front door opened. Noah and Aryan jumped up, Noah grabbed his pistol and aimed it for the door. Then Scott walked inside, Noah let out a deep breath.

"Man I thought I was gonna have to shoot someone." Noah said quite relieved.

"Sorry." Scott told him. "We've been outside a little while now. Figured it's safer in here."

"Yeah, come on in." Noah told him.

So behind Scott came Damien and his little brother Jace, the three of them joined Noah and Aryan upstairs.

"So, what's the whole reasoning you want us to come with you?" Scott asked Noah.

"Well, Cranbury is a place that nobody gets hurt, nobody is singled out, and everyone cares for one another. There's plenty of kids there and plenty of other people too, good people." Noah told him.

"So it's just a town?" Scott asked.

"Yeah and there's something for everyone." Noah told him. "Besides, Edgar's family is there. Might as well be some place you know people, right?"

"Eh, I guess." Scott told him. "I'm just trying to think of how I feel about it for my boys."

"I promise you that it's safe." Noah told him. "Plenty of other kids are there, we have kids of all ages and if you want we can help train him to fight the dead." Noah told Scott, pointing at Damien.

"I already know how to kill them." Damien told him. "It isn't hard."

"Well good, we can definitely use you then." Noah smiled.

From the basement doorway came Kaitlyn, her hair was messy, but she didn't really care that much. Behind her was Edgar, he came upstairs buckling the belt on his khaki pants.

"Hey guys." Noah said.

"Hey." Edgar said, then he saw Scott, Damien, and Jace. "Oh hey guys, when'd you get here?"

"Just a few minutes ago." Scott told him. "Figured you'd have been up already. I remembered you telling me to come here."

"Yeah, no." Edgar began. "I'm glad you came because you really need to hear about this place."

"Cranbury?" Scott asked.

"Yeah." Edgar looked at Noah. "You tell him about it?"

"Yes I did." Noah responded.

"Well, whatcha think?" Edgar asked.

Scott took a minute to respond, but eventually got an answer out. "Yeah, why not."

"Awesome." Edgar laughed. "Great, I'm happy you three are coming."

"My only question is, why if it's so great there, are you three back in this dump?" Scott asked.

"Simple. I wanted to come home for a day, might be the last time I'd ever see this place, this town, the streets. Figured I'd make a day out of it. Noah came along for support and Aryan was picked up along the way." Edgar responded. "We aren't here because Cranbury isn't safe. We're here because I was homesick."

Then everyone jumped as they heard the screen door open, from where Scott, Damien, and Jace had entered. Everyone was in their feet with a weapon at hand, except Damien and Jace who had been shoved behind Scott for protection. However, instead of an intruder or some undead hellish nightmare coming through the door, it was only Edgar's father, Donald.
