The night everyone stayed on the cruise ship something extremely terrible started to begin. Nobody in Cranbury knew what it was or how it all became such a terrible moment in time. All anyone could ever say is that it's the darkest moment Cranbury had witnessed up to date and one of the worst things anyone could ever possibly think of, only fifteen hours before Richard decided to head home. This is where this story begins.
It was a nice afternoon, the sun was slowly going down, it was at that point of the day where it made the sky look a reddish pink color. Most of everyone was heading home for the day in order to make the strict curfew that Cranbury had as to not have anyone outside at night unless working as a guard.
"Dad, can't I just keep the cat?" Mikayla asked.
"No, Mick it's not your cat." Jim told her. "Here's the deal. We go to Martin, if he isn't sure we can keep it." He looked to his daughter. "Okay?"
"Fine." Mikayla said blankly.
"Oh my goodness!" A woman shouted.
Both Jim and Mikayla stopped in place. The woman ran at them freaking out.
"However did you manage to steal my cat!?" The woman violently shouted as she tore the cat out of Mikayla's hands.
"This is your cat?" Jim asked the woman.
"Why yes, she's one of my many cats. Oh Mittens, mommy found you!" She then started planting kisses you and down the cats face and walked away so happily.
"Well that was kind of rude." Jim said.
"Yeah and it's your fault, asshole." Mikayla said angrily as she left for home.
Jim looked back at Mikayla as she left. He felt bad, he didn't mean to have screwed her out of a cat. He only wanted to do what was right. He looked at the woman who had taken the cat from Mikayla and himself. Then he walked after her.
"Hey Corey!" Ross shouted as he and his brother chased after him.
Corey looked back at both Ross and Chester.
"What do you guys want?" Corey asked. He still felt a bit upset that they turned him down not even ten minutes beforehand.
"Well, don't you wanna hang out?" Ross asked him.
"Uhm, I did." Corey told them.
"Well, let's go to the park." Chester said quickly.
"Sure, okay." Corey smiled. "Let's go."
Martin headed toward Zeke as he walked nearby. "I want you in Richard's office in the next twenty minutes or else." Martin said without stopping.
"Oh or else what, asshole?" Zeke said rudely as he stopped to look at Martin.
"Or else I'll lock you in a room until Richard's return to Cranbury." Martin said as he stopped to turn back to Zeke, who huffed in anger.
"Excuse me." Jim called out as he chased after the woman who took Mikayla's cat. "Ma'am, please I'd like to talk to you."
The woman turned to Jim who barely got to stop before he ran into her.
"What was it you wanted?" The woman asked slightly angrily, as if Jim ruined her evening by wanting to talk.
"I'm sorry, but please hear me out ma'am." Jim said to her quickly.
The woman looked Jim over and then knodded her head. "You've got five minutes."
"Okay, so my name is Jim and that cat, he was found by my daughter Mikayla a few days ago and she's been keeping care for him." Jim started.
"Well that's lovely to hear. At least he's been fed." The woman said as she cut into Jim's speech.
