After what was obvious to any man's eye, an eventful night, Edgar returned to his childhood home along with Kaitlyn, Noah and Aryan.
"I know the key was around here someplace, I just can't find it." Edgar said as he was moving things that were on his front porch all over the place, in search for his house key. After a minute or so he decided it wasn't worth searching. "Well, screw it." Edgar took a football that was on a shelf and smashed the window on the door, reached inside and unlocked the dead bolt, allowing himself to get inside. "Guys, watch the glass."
"Yeah, no shit." Noah laughed. "We just watched you smash your own door in."
"Oh shut up." Edgar laughed as they all walked inside.
The house reeked of a smell that most of the world reeked of these days... Death. Edgar wasn't too sure why it smelled that way, considering he knew his entire family had been with him.
"Everyone split up to search the house, make sure nobody is inside." Edgar said as he pulled a knife from his pocket. "Katty, come with me." He said as he walked around the kitchen and turned into the living room, straight to a door in the corner. It opened up and let down into the basement of the house. "My bedroom is down here." Edgar smiled, then he started downstairs. "Oh by the way, it's probably a mess." He told her.
"Knowing you?" Kaitlyn laughed. "It probably is."
Edgar cracked a smile in her direction as he pushed her playfully. "Alright, welcome to Casa De Edgar." He said goofily as he opened the white bedroom door in front of him.
Edgar was amazed. He couldn't believe he was back in his room. The walls plastered in movie posters, the best still unmade from waking up early for school, his laptop on his desk where he'd left it. Nothing had been touched since that day.
"I wonder if it's alright." Edgar said hurrying to his black desk in the corner of his bedroom.
"Wonder if what's where?" Kaitlyn asked as she followed him over to the desk.
Edgar sat down into a red cloth desk chair and pulled open a drawer on the left hand side of the desk. "It's here." He smiled and looked to Kaitlyn. "Look at this, I wrote this a long time ago." He waved a folder in her face.
"What is it?" Kaitlyn asked.
"It's a book I started writing, it was based on a group of soldiers in World War Two's time. About how they survived through the war." Edgar told her. "I never finished it, I was about half way through it though."
"I didn't know you liked writing." Kaitlyn told him as she said her body up onto his sitting on top of him in his face, staring at him with her beautiful brown eyes.
"You know, I can't believe how beautiful you are." Edgar said as he stared into Kaitlyn's eyes.
"Why can't you believe it? Huh!? I can't be beautiful?" Kaitlyn said sarcastically as she hit Edgar's chest and then leaned into him resting her head on his shoulder.
"You're the most beautiful girl in the world." Edgar told her. "Well, unless Selena Gomez is still alright." Edgar said to get a rise out of her.
Kaitlyn pinched his side, so it worked. Edgar smiled lightly.
Upstairs Noah and Aryan had made sure the house was alright, so they decided to just relax in the living room for the time being, there wasn't much in the house to worry about, besides a few weird smells.
In the living room was a big black dog cage, the door was open and the cage empty. As if the dog had escaped somehow, because there was no signs of the dog being there dead or alive.
