Mitch is with Austin at an abandoned pool that people turned into a skate park.

After what happened in the basement the other day with Scott, Mitch kind of feels bad for leading him into that whole situation.

He had no clue that Scott was going to do that to Austin.

If he did, he probably wouldn't have brought him down there in the first place.

Both boys sit on the deep end of the old pool watching the other people skate around on their boards.

Austin takes out a cigarette and lights it up in front of Mitch.

Mitch just gives him a confused look.

"I thought you hated smoking?" Mitch asks.

"I've taken it up. I can't sleep. I terrified of everything!" Austin says.

Mitch just stares at him until Austin looks at him.

"What attacked me wasn't human!" Austin says.

"It was Scott."

"You saw that other thing! You can't tell me that was human!"

"He was trying to freak us both out!" Mitch says.

Mitch stares off as Austin takes another puff of his cigarette.

"What did you tell your parents?" Mitch asks.

"Don't worry. I told them I got attack by some thug over by the mall. Couldn't tell them I went to your house to score coke, could I?" Austin says looking to Mitch for an answer.

"How deep are the cuts?" Mitch asks.

"Deep....I- god I can't stop thinking about that mouth!"

"It was a mask. Maybe he was purposely trying to terrorize you."

Austin shakes his head.

Mitch then comments on Austin's hat of choice today.

"That's hat doesn't look like you."

"It serves a purpose. Look! My hair is turning white from fear! Yeah I read on the internet that's possible!" Austin says lifting the hat up a little to show Mitch.

Mitch just looks at his hair and doesn't say a word.

Austin takes off his sunglasses to look Mitch in the eyes.

"Do you believe in the devil?" Austin asks.

"No." Mitch hesitates.

"I do...I looked into his eyes."

Austin takes a puff of his cigarette as Mitch looks at him in fear.

**
The house is silent as everyone in the house is fast asleep.

Mitch lays peaceful in his bed as Scott watches over him.

All of a sudden, the alarm rings and Mike springs out of bed to find the source of the alarm being triggered.

"Check on Mitch!" Says as Nel springs out of bed as well.

Mike runs downstairs to turn the alarm off and finds that the front door is wide open.

He makes sure no one was standing outside and slams the door shut and locks both locks.

"Did someone break in!?" Nel asks running down the stairs with a bat.

"Go back upstairs!" Mike says as he takes the bat from Nel.

"I'll call the police!" Nel says running back upstairs.

Mike walks around the house cautiously with the bat and turns on the lights as he enters each room.

He checks all the rooms on the main floor and finds no one.

Then he hears the basement door creak open.

He slowly walks down the steps and checks the basement for an intruder.

Mike finds Nicole downstairs in the basement rolling a ball into the shadows as if someone was playing with her.

Nicole laughs as she is playing with someone that she thinks is there.

"Go home, Nikki." Mike says.

Nicole continues to laugh at whatever is there in the shadows.

"C'mon!" Mike says as he leads Nicole to the basement door that goes outside.

Nicole follows close behind him and walks out of the house.

He then walks back to where Nicole was sitting and rolling the ball to see if he can see whatever it was that she was playing with. If there so was something there.

Mike walks back upstairs as the ball rolls back from out of the shadows.

"The police are on their way." Nel says.

"Tell them forget it. It was only Nikki." Mike says walking past Nel into their bedroom.

Nel closes Mitch's door and follows Mike. "We have to remember to lock all the doors up and the windows. I don't know how the little freak got in anyways-"

"You shouldn't call her that!" Nel interrupts.

"Are you okay? You're shaking." Mike asks concerned.

Nel sighs and sits down on the bed in front of Mike with tears filling her eyes.

She gets up and closes the door so Mitch won't hear them talking.

"I haven't thrown up, Mike. When I was pregnant with Mitch I was sick all the time for two months straight. There's something wrong with this baby I can't feel it!" Nel admits.

"I'd be worried if you didn't think something was wrong after what happened last time. Your anxiety must be through the roof!" Mike says.

"Don't shrink me!" Nel yells.

Mike sighs and kneels down in front of Nel and takes her hands into his.

"You know how I feel? This baby is why we moved here. It's our salvation, Nel." Mike says.

He kisses the top of Nel's head and smiles at her.
