Sorry I haven't been updating, guys.

I've had a lot of shit going on and that are still going on that I need to take care of, but for now, here's an update.

                                              **

Mike is on his daily run through the park, per usual.

As he runs he gets faster as he tries to run away from his past and his current situation with his mistress back in Texas.

He tries to push it all out of his head after seeing how much damage and pain he's put his family through and having to leave everything and everyone else behind to move away from the problems he caused back in Texas.

He finally stops in a tunnel and slams his fist against the brick wall and starts to cry.

Rick watches him cry against the wall before approaching Mike.

"People will say we're in love. Hello, Michael!" Rick says.

Mike wipes his eyes and turns around to face Rick.

"What do you want?" Mike asks.

"Well, more than anything, I guess, to be on the stage. You know what stopped me? Fear of what my family would say. But now that they're, well, you know, dead, and, in, I have terminal brain cancer, I figure maybe I should just go for it, you know? Chase that dream!" Rick says.

Rick looks Mike in his water red eyes. "What about you? What dream are you chasing? Or should I say, what dream is chasing you?"

"Leave me alone." Mike says walking away.

"It's the house, isn't it!?"

"Wrong!"

"Whatever's tearing you apart, the house knows about it! It'll use it against you!"

"Jesus, this is not about the house! This is about me! What I did! I cheated on my wife!" Mike admits to Rick.

Mike and Rick that a seat against the wall and talk about it.

"Isabel! That's her name. She's insisting I come out to Texas." Mike says.

"I'm trying very hard not to judge you." Rick says.

"Me!? You murdered your entire family!" Mike spats.

"Yes. But I was never unfaithful!" Rick says.

Mike sighs and looks down at his feet.

"You have no choice! You're going to have to do the honorable thing to save your family! You're gonna have to lie!"

**
Mike sighs and sits down on the bed.

"Guess who called me today? Jimmy Blevens. The heavyset gal I treated two summers ago? Tried to commit suicide. In the hospital. Won't talk to anybody." Mike says to Nel.

Nel walks over to Mike with a concerned look on her face.

"Her parents are begging me to go out there." Mike says.

"All the way to Texas?" Nel asks.

"Just for a day or two." Mike says.

"You know what you are, Mike Grassi?"

"An idiot."

"You're a good man."

Mike shakes his head as he can't believe he just lied straight to his wife's face about something so serious that isn't even true.
