Nel finally get almost all of the hideous wallpaper off the wall to expose the painting behind it.

"In my professional opinion, whoever painted this way, had some deep psychological issue." Mike laughs walking into the room.

He and Nel stare at it as she wipes her hands off with an old rage.

"I thought you had a patient?" Nel asks.

"No. They bailed at the last minute." Mike says.

He helps Nel clean up a little bit as he looks at the painting on the walls.

"Thanks!" Nel says with a smile.

"This doesn't tweak you out?" Mike asks.

Nel shrugs and continues to clean up. "There's something about it that I find very comforting."

"One of my psych professors told me that people tell stories to help cope with their fears. People who are afraid of dying they draw reincarnation. People who are scared of evil draw gods that banish the evil to hell." Mike says.

"I just like I don't have to think when I do it." Nel says.

Mike laughs and looks at her fondly.

"I always thought you were prettiest like this. No make-up, messy hair. All sweaty."

"I'm old."

"Stop!" Mike says.

He walks towards her and says, "you're beautiful. You are."

He walks up behind her and grabs her waist and kisses her head.

"Come on. Mitch won't be home for a hour." Mike says.

"No I can't." Nel says.

"Come on, babe."

"Mike...Mike, no." She says and pushes his hands off of her waist.

He throws his arms out and yells in frustration.

"Sorry. I'm just gonna..." she says walking away from him.

Mike knocks over Nel's supplies and yells, "How long, Nel!? How long are you gonna punish me for!?"

Nel looks at him in shock.

"I'm not punishing you, you narcissistic asshole! I'm trying to figure out how to forgive you, for having sex with one of your students in our bed! You want me to have sex with you!? I can't even look at your face, Mike!" Nel yells.

"I screwed up! How many times do I have to say I'm sorry!? I was hurting too!" Mike yells back.

"Oh! Oh! I'm sorry...I'm sorry did the child you were carrying inside of you die and did you have to carry it for nine months!? The dead corpse of our baby son!? Did you have to go into labor and deliver our child...dead!?" Nel says between tears.

"My son died too! My son died too!"

"And you buried your sorrow in someone's twenty-one year olds self!"

"I will show you the statistic of how many men cheat after a miscarriage! I was there for you, Nel! I was patient and understanding and caring and I put your feelings first!" Mike yells.

Nel looks at him with tears in her eyes threatening to come out as she look at him.

"My hero." She says sarcastically.

Nel looks away and Mike starts to pace back and forth.

"You know I don't know how to say this without sounding like an asshole a-"

"You know what, just go ahead! Really! It's never stopped you before! If you're really so angry why don't you tell it like it is! I went to therapy with you for six months of you apologizing and crying. It was all bullshit! So, please tell me how you really feel!" Nel says in between tears.

"You got a dog. I needed you and you got a dog! It was me you should've been cuddling up with at night! Not a dog!" Mike says.

Nel laughs at how stupid his reasoning was for cheating on her.

"Oh so-"

"I needed you!"

"You needed me, so she was revenge because you needed me!? Because I wasn't there for you in your time of need! Now I get it!" She yells.

Mike looks he dead in the eyes, "we haven't had sex in a year. A year, Nel!"

"Yeah you think I don't know that?" She says.

Mike looks away and fights back his own tears.

"October 20th. We had the best we've ever had! It was loving personal and even a little weird!" Mike says.

Nel looks down and tries to think about all that is being said and what's going on.

Mike keeps his eyes on her even though she isn't looking at him.

"I...love...you. I moved to California for you because the only think in my life that I've been truly scared of is losing you. Losing this family. Something horrible happened to us and he handled it even more horribly. This place...this place is our second chance!" Mike says walking closer to Nel.

Nel covers her eyes and starts to cry with everyone that Mike says to her.

She really does still love Mike she just doesn't know how to forgive him for his actions yet.

"I just- I just need to know that you want it too..." Mike says through tears.

Mike walks closer and cups Nel face into his hands, but she hits them away again.

"What are you doing?" Mike asks as he steps back.

Nel pushes him and pushes him as he tries to reason with her.

"Nel!" He yells.

He grabs her by her arms and fights back to stop her from pushing him.

"What are you doing!" He says and forces a kiss on her.

The kiss quickly deepens as the fall to the couch kicking off their shoes and some other things aside.
