When I finally stop deciding to be a bear, I walk out of my room to go to dinner. As I close my door to my room I hear a very familiar voice, "Warner! I'm glad I ran into you!"
I turn towards the voice to see my friend Jacob. Call me a poor unfortunate soul but Jacob is my only true friend, all the other boys don't like me because I train harder than any of them, even some of them combined. Jacob is the only one that doesn't care because he rather not judge a person on what they do but who they are.
I paster a small smile on my face and give a small wave, "Hey Jacob."
After saying "Hi" Jacob starts to do the starting motions to our handshake: two side high fives, fist bump, kick each other's left calf, then in the right calf, and we end it with a chest bump.
After almost falling onto our butts, Jacob opened his mouth, "So, I heard that you got your first assignment."
I look down at the ground, stick my hands in my jeans' pockets and mumble a "yeah." I
Jac punches my arm in a playful way, "That's great man."
"Yeah, I guess," I say with a shrug while still not looking at him.
"Dude, why are you so sad about getting an assignment?" he asked but he continued talking before I could answer, "All of us are always excited about getting any assignment, and you were all excited to be getting one this time but now you are just a bum."
I just shrug and start walking again to go get food. Jacob follows me still questioning me.
"What is wrong with your assignment?"
I don't answer and continue walking, I remembered that Peter Pan wanted my assignment to stay a secret.
"Ugh! Man, you are so annoying, if you won't answer that question can you at least answer this one? What is his name?"
I pause in my walking and look back at Jacob, "Sorry to disappoint you, but I cannot tell you their name. My mission is top secret."
Jacob looks at the floor a second before looking at me again with a smirk on his face, "Aren't they all?"
"Yes, but some are more top secret than others!" I tell him using my hands to exaggerate it more.
"Fine be that way, but I've told you all my missions and if you don't want to share then I guess we aren't as good of friends as I thought us to be!" Jacob stated as he rammed into my shoulder and tried to walk away.
"Jacob wait..." I pause and look at the ground knowing that I have his attention. I let out a breath as I raise my eyes to meet his, "You can't tell anyone about this okay?"
Jacob nods slowly and walks closer to me.
I nod my head before telling him, "Okay, the thing is ... that his name is a,... her name and it is Raina," I finish and scratch the back of my head.
"WHAT!? A LOST GIRL!" He shouts, making some guys turn to look at us.
"SHHH!" I jump at Jacob and cover his mouth. "You can't just shout that around here, word could get out."
He nods his head as I continue, "I'm going to remove my hand now but no more shouting out okay?"
He nods once again and I slowly remove my hand from his mouth and whip it on my pants.
"Sorry, Warner. I didn't mean to shout it," he continues before I can say anything, "It's just surprising that there is a Lost Girl. I thought that they didn't exist."
"I know me too. Even now I still don't know a lot of information."
"What do you know," he pokes at me.
I shrug, "All I know is that Peter has been waiting for ten years to give out this mission, and now I have it for some reason and that I have to beat the pirates to her," I say as we finish our walk to cafeteria, "I get to eat dinner and sleep a couple of hours before I head out early in the morning. So after we eat this meal, this will be the last time of us seeing each other for awhile, so I'm saying my goodbye now instead of later. Goodbye Jacob."
He laughs at my dramatics as we enter the cafeteria and states, "Goodbye Warner, for now," as we head to our table.
After finishing dinner, I head back to my room. Once I get to my room I look around at everything. My room is a decent size not too big and not too small. My back wall had the brick detailed while the rest of my walls are a midnight blue color. To the right of walking into my room there are two doors, and to my left, there is one door. The doors to the right lead to my bedroom and my bathroom and the door on the left was a small room that had one window, that was my library. The shelves went from top to bottom and there was a window seat in front of the window, and there is a hammock hanging from the ceiling. In the main area, there is my kitchen, dining room, that I never seem to use, and living room, all in an open concept. My living room had a three section black leather couch, with a black coffee table in front of the second section of the couch. There is a flat screen TV in my living room, I mostly just want shows and movies on Netflix, we do get tv signal in Neverland because we are still on Earth just in a different dimension of the Earth. My dining room has a four-person dining table that is made of Oak and has a Colonial Pine finish. My kitchen is clean, there are stainless steel appliances, it took us forever how to picture them in the right way, I have light gray cabinets, on top and bottom. My countertop is a grayish quartz, and I have a white backsplash. Most people thought that I had too much gray in my kitchen but I liked it.
My bedroom and bathroom are nice too. My bathroom has a plain white countertop with dark gray cabinets, and the flooring is light gray tiles. The tiles in the shower are just a normal color of gray. My bedroom had the brick detail, if you walked into my room you could see the wall right in front of you. The rest of my walls in my room were midnight blue like in my other part of my quarters, but unlike the other walls the walls in my bedroom were covered in pixie paint, a type of paint that glows in the dark but when you clap your hands the paint stops glowing. My bed was up against the brick wall with a window to the left of my bed. I had a desk with built-in shelves on the wall opposite of the window. It had little-lost things I have found over the years of my being in Neverland.
I head to my bathroom and get ready for bed. I quickly brush my teeth, and shower, so that I can get the most sleep I possibly can. As I head out of my bathroom I take another look around, this is the last time I would be seeing my rooms for a while. I just hope that my assignment won't take too long.
