Chapter 39: He found us

POV Warner

I wake up to the glaring sun through my window, I groan as I roll out of bed. It was just going to be another long day of missing Raina, wondering how and what she is doing and training. There is always training for something. I quickly get workout clothes on and walk out of my room. As I close the door to my room I hear the alarms. He has finally found us.

We all start running. We run in every direction, the younger lost boys go to Peter Pan to be hidden, the older ones like me and Jacob run to the fighting room where the weapons are. The room is bustling with activity, I have to dodge boys grabbing weapons in a hurry and not watching where they are going. I quickly walk over to the bows and arrows and grab the last one hanging on the wall. I quickly go over to the daggers and grab one. Having my weapons I run out of the room and go to the main hall. When I get there, I can already see both sides having dead bodies. I pause in my advance to look at the scene, Lost Boys helping each other battle the stupid pirates. As I turn more to the right, I see a pirate advancing to me, I quickly swing my bow onto my back and grab my dagger. He has his sword out in front of him, ready to plug the blade into my heart. At the last possible second, I lunge to the side, missing the blade but the pirate isn't so lucky with missing my outstretched foot. He falls to the floor in a clump, and before he can swing back around to look at me on the floor, I jump on to his back and put my arm around him holding him down and I swipe my dagger across his neck. He falls limp to the floor. Before I can stand back up a pirate bulldozers me to the ground, making my bow and arrows fall off my back, and he sits on top of my stomach to stop me from getting up. I swing my fist at him and hit him square in the jaw, his head bends back just a bit before I hear him growl, "You'll pay for that!"

Before I can try to swing back one of his meaty hands grab mine and hold them over my head. He punches me square in the eye, causing my vision to be spotty. He laughs and goes to punch me again but is pushed off me before he can. I quickly stand and spot my dagger, I stumble a bit as I get it. I look around for any Lost Boy who needs help but they all seem to do doing fine so I move on to the next room. I had to get to the fairy door. Captain Hook would be trying to get there. As I turn one corner I find Captain Hook himself. I lift my chin up and raise my dagger to him. I look him in the eye and he just looks at me. When his pirates behind him go to advance on me, Hook puts up his hand, "This is the boy."

I frow my brows but quickly drop all emotion from my face. A warrior does not feel. They can not feel. He steps closer to me, raising his sword, "And he is going to lead us to the girl."

"Never," I spit out.

He starts to laugh, and his pirates join in. He finally stops and looks right at me, "GET HIM!"

I quickly spin on my feet and take off running, he cannot catch me. I hear the pirates running after me, and I try to think. Where to hide? Where to hide? Then it comes to my little hideout within Lost Boy Hollow. I quickly turn right and then right again. I duck behind a beam as the pirates look right and left and straight. I had lost, I was the faster runner after all. I hear them complaining to each other and hear them agree to go left. I wait a few moments to make sure the coast was clear. I peek out from the beam and see the pirates gone, I walk out from my hiding spot and walk back the way I had run from. I start running once I think I'm far enough from the pirates. As I turn down the hall for my hiding spot, I spot the biggest pirate ever. His back was turned from me, that is until I mutter "Crap."

He turns around slowly, and I take a step back. My grip on my dagger tightens. Before I can start running, he runs at me and grabs me by my throat. My breath hitches. He lifts his other hand that has its own dagger in it. He smiles cruelly as he drags the blade down my arm. I feel the tears in my eyes as I start bleeding out. I try to breathe but can't get the air through my tightened throat. My vision starts to blur even more and I feel myself getting light headed. The last thing I feel is me being dropped to the ground. I'm left to die. Before my world goes dark all the way, I think about Raina and think help.
