POV Rania
The tunnel is dark and humid. It was miserable. To add to the miserableness I was still balling my eyes out and being carried.
"Raina would you please stop crying, we are almost there and it is hard to fly while crying. The tears block your vision and make it so you can not see," a gentle voice tells me.
Sniff... Sniff... "I can't stop!" I yell, "Not when people I care about might be dead because of me," I whisper.
All too quickly Warner puts me down against the wall like he doesn't trust me not to crumble into a ball without it. He bends down in front of me and leans in a bit, "Raina, I know for a fact that Wendy is not dead," he pauses and whispers "at least not yet."
"WHAT?!" I scream in his face, reaching out grabbing his cheeks.
He jumps in surprise but quickly recovers and lets out a deep breath, taking my hands in his, "What I am saying is that Wendy won't die until she knows for sure that we are in Neverland."
I think about that for a few seconds, looking at my hands in his, I whisper "But I don't want her to die."
He smirks at me, "Do you really think Wendy well go down without a fight?"
I look away from our hands to the ground and shake my head.
"Good," he tells me lifting my gaze to his, "because she will put up a fight. Now can we get going? I don't know how much longer we will be alone in this tunnel," he finishes looking away from me, back down the way we came.
I nod my head as Warner looks back at me. Noticing that I nodded, he helps me up and takes off running, dragging me behind him, leaving me no choice but to follow. We run until we both are out of breath and when we reach a big metal door. The door has no handles and no keypad to open the door. I look over at Warner after realizing what the door was and see him looking at me. He nods towards the door, "Let's try to push it open."
So, we try to push on the door for a couple of seconds, but it would not budge. I turn towards Warner and ask him, "Why won't it open?"
He runs a hand through his hair, messing it up more than it already was, "I have no clue!" he says in frustration as he kicks the huge metal door.
"OW!" he screams as he hops around on one foot while holding the other trying to get it to feel better. I try not laugh at him but I just can't help it. My laugh ends up coming out from my hands trying to hold it in. With my laugh coming out, Warner shoots me a look, that if looks could kill I would be dead, as he sets his foot back on the ground. With his foot back on the ground he starts to look at the wall around the door. After a few minutes of him searching and me not helping because I was confused, he shouts " GOT IT!"
I come up behind him, "Got what?"
"The way to open the door!" he exclaimed looking over his shoulder at me.
"And that would be what?" I asked placing my hands on my hips.
"This," he tells me while he points at some holes in the wall.
"What is that?" I ask as I take a step closer to him and the wall.
"Would you just look closer at it, please? And stop asking so many questions," he tells me as he moves over so that I can get even closer to the wall, but I don't instead I stay where I was and cross my arms.
"First off no and second off no, you are not the boss of me," I say full of attitude.
He looks over at me, shakes his head and lets go of a deep breath as his grabs the bridge of his nose, "The sooner we get through this door, the sooner we get home and the sooner the pirates will leave Wendy alone."
I let my arms drop as I close the distance between both the wall and Warner, as I huff out "Fine."
As I look closer at the holes, I noticed that the holes in the wall were actually a design. The design looked familiar to me. As I think of where I may have seen it before, I start messing with the necklaces around my neck. As I mess with the charms, I end up looking down at them. That's when I notice that the design looks like my necklaces. I look between the wall and the necklaces a couple of times before I start to take the necklaces off that look like the design which happened to be the fairy wings and the crown.
"You figured it out then?" Warner asked me and I can hear the hope in his voice.
"Yeah... at least I think so..." I trail off as I look at the two necklaces in my hand and back at the wall. He clears his throat and I look back over at him and realize I hadn't told him what I think it is. "Sorry for trailing off, but I think it fits two of my necklaces."
He just nods his head at me, as if either telling me that I am right or to continue. So, I continue on with fitting the crown charm and the fairy wings charm into the wall. The wings end up underneath the crown charm. At first, nothing happens once the charms are in the holes, so I push them further into the hole. That's when I start to hear the gears for the door start to turn, I look over at Warner's eyes wide. He looks right back at me with a knowing smirk, I was about to roll my eyes when the door hisses open. I turn back to the door as it reveals a set of stairs. With seeing the stairs I let out a groan, I was so sick of stairs and running today. Warner starts to walk towards the door but stops to wait for me as I remember to grab the necklaces out of the wall. Once I have the necklaces, Warner grabs my wrist and pulls me through the door, so that he can close it.
