POV Warner

After leaving Wendy's office, I start my short walk to dinner. I had thought I forgot the way but the amazing smelling food lead my nose to the cafeteria. When I enter the room I look around, and notice that there are not many kids here. As I look around I see that Rania is in the middle of the lane facing forward. I stare at her for a bit until she turns around, I quickly look away so I don't look like I am stalking her. That is when I see it, the food! You can actually see it! I don't get to imagine what type of food I'm going to be eating, that is just cruel. I haven't seen my food for the longest time.

I walk through the line, and as I'm about to get my food the kid next to me goes "Yes! Chicken Alfredo," then to the cook he says "Did you guys hear my wish?"

The cook brightens up but they shake their head no, as the kid walks away with his delicious smelling food. After grabbing a tray of food I turn towards the seats looking for a place to sit that was by Rania. To my luck I find her sitting in a very dark corner of the cafeteria by herself, so I head over. As I walk over to her, she looks at her food like she can't wait to eat it but in all she just looked lonely, and I wanted to change that. I needed her to learn that she can trust me and not be lonely before we leave for Neverland, which was hopefully soon. I already miss my friends and my room.

My legs freeze as I reach her table and she is about to scoop some food into her mouth, I stand there for a second then before I can chicken out I ask "Can I sit here?"

She looks up from her food, surprised, but the look quickly fades as fast as it showed up when she saw that it was just me. She scrunched up her nose in distaste, when she finally lets the face go, she just shrugs her shoulders, "I wouldn't if I were you if you haven't realized no one here likes me, so if you hang out with me you will be disliked too because the world is full of haters."

I look at her and tilt my head at the truthfulness of her words, and sit down, with an "Ok."

The moment I sat down Rania's mouth dropped and her eyes went wide like she couldn't believe that I would just sit down. After looking at me in disbelief for a while Rania finally stops and I do a mini celebration because I was able to get her to agree for me sitting with her. Well, she didn't really say "yes" but she never said "no" so I take this as a win! Point me! I think getting her to trust me might be even easier than I thought!
