Alana's POV
After last night Daniel has been on my mind. His eyes, his lips, his hair, his warmth. Just him, all of him, has been on my mind causing me to experience a lack of concentration. As I'm deep in my thought I run into someone and fall on my ass. I look up to see who it is. It was some curly head boy who's hair looked kinda like ramen.

"Holy shit.. are you okay?" He reached down to help me up. "wait you're Alana right" he arched one eyebrow with me now standing on two feet.

"Um yeah... How do you know my name?" I asked with being really confused.

"Oh right.. haha. I'm Jack. One of Daniels friends and band mates" he stuck out his hand. I accepted and then we exchanged numbers. He was awesome and super chill.
I was in History, my least favorite subject, thinking about Daniel. He was sitting across the room and I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He was perfect and those lips, soft to the- Alanaaa! I was snapped out of my gaze and my teacher, Mr. Brown, was starring at me.

"Nice of you to rejoin us." He continued his lecture and I just put my head down, I was extremely embarrassed. The bell ring and I got up to leave but as I grabbed my things they were thrown to the ground.

"Starring Alana? Really. You have no chance with him," she glanced at Daniel "he's too good for you, he's hot and we'll, you're not." She laughed and walked away. She was right. I'd never be enough for him.
I ran to the bathroom and pulled a blade from my backpack, yanked up my sleeve and just cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Over and over. I lost track of how many times I had made a mark. I began to get dizzy. The last thing I remember was falling down into the bathroom floor.

Daniels POV
The rooms around me were white. The people were silent. And I? I was flipping out.  Alana's mom called me and told me what happened. After she had passed out a Freshman found her and had alerted the principal. When I got that phone call I rushed out of the school to get to her. Why would she do this? I was terrified.
I was pacing back and forth in the waiting room, searching for any sign of the doctor that was taking care of Alana. Finally after about 2 hours of waiting the doctor came out.

"Alana is stable enough for one visitor at a time." The doctor stated. Alana's mom looked at me with sympathetic eyes,

"Go ahead darling. She probably wants to see you." She spoke softly, her voice hoarse from all the sobbing.
"Thanks you.." I began to walk fast to Alana's room. There she was. Cords and contraptions coming from her arms that were all wrapped up in bandages. As soon as I laid eyes on her I fell to my knees beside her bed, and broke out in tears.

"Alana.. why?" I looked at her with my bloodshot eyes, "I could have lost you..."

"It's not like it would have mattered. I'm not important. You would survived." She spoke with clear sadness in her voice.

"Yes you are damnit!" She flinched with my sudden out burst. I took her hand in mine, "I'm sorry Alana I didn't mean to scream, it's just.. you're so important to me. You're my b-bestfriend" I choked on the word. Because truth is I wanted more with her, I always had.

"See Daniel that's the problem" I looked at her with a confused look as she continued. "Daniel... I've held this in for so long but I can't, I can't hold it in any more." Alana gulped, "I love you Daniel and the matter of fact is I will never be good enough for you, and too add to that you'll never feel-" I didn't want her to finish that sentence. I grabbed her face in my hands and pressed my lips to hers.
At first she seemed taken back but then kissed back. It was subtle but absolutely amazing. I've been dreaming about this day since second grade.
I pulled back and looked in her eyes, "I love you Alana, you will always be good for me and I will always want you."
She smiled and so did I.
