Mrs. Kim's P.o.V.

"I came here not just to give the item you left a while ago, but because I have to tell you that." I said and paused.

"Mrs. Lu and I had a fight a while ago, and we have finally decided to break our contacts. Do you remember when we called your marriage off? “ I inquired as she nodded understandingly. She stirred her coffee once more and took a small sip.

“Things were not in good terms since then. I thought that the fight would just sink in, but I guess it boiled." I narrated to Jjeolbae as she nodded in understanding. I held my bag tight as I stared at my child again. I gripped for confidence, and I gripped for courage.

"J…Jjeolbae. We have also decided to break the arrangement with your marriage too." I said, but I know I am not yet done. She nodded in approval with a lost look on her face. She was staring at the brewed coffee in front of her, but I know she is listening. She was not making any movements nor any replies, but I am sure that she was trying to capture things.

"But, I got another one for you. He's just around your age. He's the son of our new partner. He's handsome, don't worry." I said as she frowned.

"W...why did you fight?" Asked she, evading my previous statement. I have decided to let it pass and nod.

I explained how the firm's funds suddenly dropped a few billions, and got suddenly lost. I also narrated how Mrs. Lu and I fought over it until it got worse and worse. Jjeolbae just nodded in agreement as I stood up.

"That's all. My child, I have to go. I still have a meeting with the other company today." I said as she nodded and smiled. I stood up but she kept still. She requested that she would finish her coffee off before leaving.

There, I took my escape. But for the last time, I stared at my little child by the window. Her chin is now rested on her palms. I restrained myself from consoling her,

since it was for her too.

Mr. Lu's P.o.V.

"We cannot let them rise up. We also have to be better than them. Now, you have to marry this girl. In that way, our company will rise higher than the Kim's. After what had happened, we cannot let ourselves drown. Do you get it, my child? We are one of the best, and we cannot let our guard easily; they are one of the best opponents for us too." I asked Luhan as he nodded. His emotions were placid, and he was fiddling with the edges of his necktie. I guess it was just natural because he was shocked.

"And by the way, you will be moving to a new apartment without them. Now, I have to go. I will reveal further information on the phone. I will call you later or tomorrow. We still need to improve our market. I know that the Kim’s are busy too. You still have school tomorrow, Luhan." I said and stood up. I still have a few appointments to finish this day, and I cannot let small things bother me.

Jjeolbae's P.o.V.

I sighed as I walked down the streets of Seoul. It was empty, just like my mind. I guess it was because of the coffee, but to think of it, I suppose it was because of the topic my mother and I have discussed.

I have spent too much happiness with them, and I have invested my love for all of them. I cannot believe that I shall be parting with them once more. I have heard this many times, and I can’t believe this will be the end.

My mother has also narrated that I will be separated from them, and their connections with me will be perished.

 Luhan's P.o.V.

I have decided to stay by the Han river. I can't believe still that things like these would happen.

My dad said I will be meeting her this Saturday, and her name is Sabrina. He also mentioned that she grew in Korea, but she is naturally an American. Smart, beautiful, and charming. She has the same characteristics like Jjeolbae, so did my dad say, but he insisted that Sabrina was better.

I chuckled at his remark as I gazed at the picture my dad was holding.

“Really! She is!” My dad said.

I could say Sabrina was a Tinkerbell, you see. She has blonde hair that depicts pixie dusts that flows freely on the air. Her face was cute too, and I could compare it to a puppy. I like her fair white skin too, since it was milky white.

I chuckled at the thought again as I shook my head and stared at the river.

It cannot match Jjeolbae’s onyx hair—for I have stroked it with my unending love. It cannot match her face too: a maiden yet an easygoing lady. Jjeolbae’s skin was milky white too, and although mine is lighter, I would love to make her remember that her skin is pure white, just like my love for her.

"Luhan. You look daydreaming. I perceive that you are thinking of sweet lines." A voice whispered as I looked around.

"Jjeolbae?" I asked as she nodded. She was wearing a trench coat, and she probably came home before going here. She took out a jacket and handed it to me. I wore it as she stared at the river.

"It's a better view when night strikes, right?" She asked as I nodded in agreement.

"Ne. See the reflections? They're so clear." I said as she nodded.

"Yeah." She answered shortly as I thought of a line that would make her chuckle.

"Clear like my love for you." I said as she laughed hysterically. She punched me softly on the arm as her eyes met mine.

"I figured. I know you too well, I suppose. Do you want me to throw you in this river?" She asked as I raised my hands in defense. I shook my head as she laughed for a little bit.

I am afraid that I would be missing this laugh when I get to be married with that Sabrina girl. I will fight, but I don't think it will be of any use, since my parents hold great power.

"So you have captured the news, huh?" She asked as I nodded. I suppose she has gotten it too since she asked me about it.

"What's the name of the girl you're marrying?" She asked as I stared at her. I stared up to the sky where stars were nowhere to be found, and only the moon is visible in the night sky. I expect a heavy rain tomorrow, but it is not to be used with the topic we are speaking.

"Jjeolbae. Kim Jjeolbae." I answered as she shook her head.

"I'm referring to the one assigned to you." She said as I nodded in comprehension.

"Say yours after mine." I said as she nodded. I held the metal railings of the bridge.

"Sabrina." I said as she nodded.

"Leonardo." She replied as the two of us smiled.

“Our parents, aish.” She said as I laughed.

“Yes. I know. Hopeless bunch.”
