Chapter Twenty-Five

"Look at me carrying all these heavy boxes. I sure wouldn't mind RAY helping me with them." I said carrying my boxes out my room and into the moving truck.

"Oh. You wanna me to help?" Ray said looking down at his homework.

I sighed, walking back into my room. "Yes Ray, yes."

"Oh." Ray continued with his homework.

"Since when you cared about homework."

"Since my Ma is coming up to the school everyday to find out if I'm actually turning in my homework." Ray sighed. "I'm not trying to get a whopping."

I patted his head. "It's okay Rayan...I wish I understand your pain."

"Don't we all." Ray faked smiled.

My Mama came in the room. "Rayan, your mother is here."

Ray sighed and puts his homework in his bookbag. "Okay." He gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "See you tomorrow."

"Alright." After that he left.
