thanks for reading! just a quick author's note as this story continues to gain traction...

this story is considered lolita-esque, but is NOT at all romanticizing or condoning the actions within this book.

this story is about an unprofessional, inappropriate and extremely wrong relationship/love story between a 13-14 year old girl and her teacher.

with that being said, it is much like a novel "My Dark Vanessa" if any of have you have read/heard of that book, this is very much in the same vein. not condoning or romanticizing the love, but very much just giving perspective to it and how complicated love can be.

just to reiterate, he is grooming her, he is a pedophile. there will be repercussions to this.

please vote and comment! this story is still ongoing!!

I never usually pick up random phone calls...but today I'm feeling ballsy, I guess.

"He...hello?" I try to answer in a deep voice, hoping I won't give away my feminine voice.

"Is this Iris Lund?" A deep male voice speaks up on the other end, low and raspy. I gulp, not exactly sure if I want to answer or hang up now. Why did I even pick up?

"Why?" I decide to go with and after a pause all I hear is a roar of laughter.

"I knew you weren't the trusting kind. Good job, I'm proud of you. It's Mr. Ryder." At this, my stomach drops and I feel like chucking my phone across the room and out the window.

"How did you...how did you get my number?" I can't tell how I feel. Alarmed? Confused? Excited? Enamored?

"School records." He answers simply and I find myself a bit astounded with the school's clear lack of privacy for their students' lives. "Sorry, was that too far?" He questions and I don't really know what to say, I just laugh.

"Um...no, no it's not too far," He chuckles at my unsure tone before lapsing casually into conversation.

"What are you doing right now? Did I take you away from something exciting?"

"Not really. My parents are currently yelling at each other right now, so no nothing exciting," I answer honestly, not really sure why I said that. He's silent for a second and just when I thought I scared him away, he speaks again.

"I'm sorry to hear that. They really should'n't be fighting with you in the house," I sigh, laying down on my comforter.

"Unfortunately, this is nothing new. You wanna know why they're fighting?"

"Do tell,"

"They found out I was skipping PE," I laugh and I expect him to join me, instead I'm met with silence.

"You still there?"

"Yeah...yeah, I'm here. Your parents were getting voicemails that you were skipping?" His tone is suddenly alarmed and I'm realizing now I probably never should have told him that. Why did I even pick up the phone in the first place?

"No, I deleted the voicemails before they could hear them. I think the school called her directly," More silence, "But it's fine right? You're gonna handle it?"

"Yeah, don't worry about it. Shouldn't be a problem," He clears his throat at this, "Sorry, I shouldn't keep you anymore, I'll let you go-"

"No!" I can't keep myself from exclaiming, "You were just starting to get my mind off this stuff," I laugh awkwardly and I can almost see him smirking through the phone.
