thanks for reading! just a quick author's note as this story continues to gain traction...
this story is considered lolita-esque, but is NOT at all romanticizing or condoning the actions within this book.
this story is about an unprofessional, inappropriate and extremely wrong relationship/love story between a 13-14 year old girl and her teacher.
with that being said, it is much like a novel "My Dark Vanessa" if any of have you have read/heard of that book, this is very much in the same vein. not condoning or romanticizing the love, but very much just giving perspective to it and how complicated love can be.
just to reiterate, he is grooming her, he is a pedophile. there will be repercussions to this.
please vote and comment! this story is still ongoing!!

My heart drops to my stomach at this as I stare back into Sebastian's all-too-calm eyes before he looks away and continues his drawing. Taking a step back, I stumble a bit over the small chair and Veronica watches me back out of the room as I struggle to find my voice.
"I'll...I'll be right back, guys. Gotta use the potty," With that, I'm racing out of the room and into the nearest bathroom, flinging open the toilet seat as I await my latest meal being thrown up into the toilet. Nothing comes, though. Trying to calm my racing heart, I grab my phone and hover over Michael's name, debating whether I want to end their date early or not. Obviously I want to, but I don't know if I can face him right now. All I know is that after this, I'm never babysitting these kids again. I'm hightailing it the hell out of here and out of his life, no matter how painful it will be. I can't mess up these kids' lives anymore, I can't mess up his marriage anymore than I already have...it has to be over.
My stewing is interrupted by a light knock on the door and I take a deep breath before answering.
"Yes?"
"Are you okay, Iris?" Veronica's sweet voice questions through the door and I sigh heavily before unlocking the door and letting myself out.
"Just peachy, sweetheart. Dinner didn't sit so well with me," I muster a smile before guiding her back to the playroom where Sebastian continues his heartbreaking drawings. I let them play for about another 20 minutes before gently reminding them it's time for bed and they have to brush their teeth. Without much of a fuss, they both put down their toys and file out of the room.
"That was easy," I mumble to myself before following them into the bathroom and grabbing their step-stools for them.
"You guys barely need me, you're all grown up," I joke around with them as they pull out their brushes and toothpaste, not asking for any assistance whatsoever. I'm a bit surprised that Sebastian doesn't need any help but when Veronica squeezes out the toothpaste for him, I'm reminded of how nice it must be to have a sibling to look out for you.
"Daddy tells us we have to be inde...independent," Veronica stumbles over her words and I can't help but wonder why Michael would already be instilling that trait in them at such a young age. Veronica is barely in Kindergarten, why should she grow up feeling like she can't rely on her parents?
"Oh? Why's that?" I pry, trying to make my obsession with their father not so obvious.
"He said in case he's not around one day to care for us," Sebastian chimes in with a mouth full of toothpaste and for what feels like the 50th time tonight, my stomach drops. Trying to ignore what that could possibly mean, even though I've got a pretty good idea, I shuffle them off to their shared bedroom where they get changed into their pajamas. After this, they stare at me expectantly for a moment and I'm a bit confused before I realize they probably want me to tuck them in.
