Chapter 5: Just one too many slip ups

It has been a few months since Bucky has been living at the restaurant all the regulars now know him as the usual bartender but are happy when I come in to help which is something I was doing quite often when I wasn't on a mission or being dragged to Stark parties. but at the moment thinking about if Bucky was doing of at the restaurant was not my biggest concern my concern is trying to to get killed or fall out of the jeep while Nat is driving through this dam HYDRA base.

"Nat can you try not to kill me please." I say

"If you dont like it get off and go help Clint"

"Yeah yeah I guess I should go help Clint before he gets hurt" I mumble re adjusting my twin blades and jumping off the jeep.

"Shit" Tony says

"Language" Steve reprimands then asks "Jarvis what's the view from upstairs"

"The Main building is surrounded by some kind of shield way beyond and other hydra base we've taken"

"Loki's scepter must be here, Strucker could not mount his defence without it."

"In other words to many HYDRA agents and force fields for it not to be here." I say making my way towards the building.

"At long last" Thor sighs

"At long last its taking a little long" Natasha says

"Yeah I think we've lost the element of surprise." Clint say "And M I thought you were coming to help me so I didn't get hurt."

"Haha yeah but I got distracted by people shooting at me and trust me you will get hurt with or without me."

"Hey what's that supposed to mean?"

"Just-" I start to say but Tony cuts me off

"Wait a minute no one is going to deal with the fact the Cap said Language"

"I know" Steve says flipping over the bike he was on and throwing it at some HYDRA agents "It just slipped out."

"Well Tony I would worry less about that and more about that the city is being attacked as well."

"Sir she is right the city is taking damage."

"Well we know Strucker is not going to worry about civilian casualties, Send in the Iron legion"

"Clint I'm almost too you," I stop in my tracks to see clint miss a shot. "Clint did I hallucinate or did you miss?"

"I didn't miss" He says getting knocked to the ground by a person like blur.

"What? you didn't see that coming" Pietro says to Clint as he gets back up

Pietro zooms off again before Clint can respond, but in the process Clint is hit and goes down again.

"MARIA! why are you always right!"

"What that you got hurt because you didn't see the enhanced coming?" I ask then realize I got little time to get to Wanda "God damit! Nat go help Clint I'll be back."

"Yeah I'm going, does someone want to deal with that bunker" Nat says before the Hulk comes crashing through "Thank you."

"Enhanced in the field!" Cap says "Maria where are you going?"

"We figured that out Cap, and don't worry about me just get Clint out of here."

"Maria" he says a little concerned and irritated.

"Steve" I say sarcastically concerned.

"Just be careful."

"Yes big brother I will." I say rolling my eyes and making my way to the building.
