The alarm set of bright and early the next morning as Jughead helped Betty through her usual morning routine. They made their way down the stairs as slowly and steadily as possible, being extra cautious of Betty's stomach. No one was home so Jughead made them breakfast and proceeded to change the gauze pads around where Bettys feeding tube had been, gave her the painkillers she was prescribed and helped his girlfriend out to his truck. "Are you ready" Jughead asked her as they arrived at school, Betty took a deep breath and looked at her boyfriend "I'm ready." They walked into the building arm in arm, Jug taking most of Betty's weight as they went to meet their best friends. "Hey Betty it's so great to see you back" Archie called as they entered the lounge, "You too arch" Betty smiled back as he took her into a hug. "B, oh my gosh you're back I missed you so much" Veronica said with a huge smile as she hugged her best friend. Betty placed her hand on Jughead's shoulder and he wrapped his arms back around her waist, once again taking her weight, "You okay?" he whispered to her "I'm fine Juggie" she whispered back as the pair made their way back to the red couches Betty had longed to come back to. The gang was back together and she couldn't have been happier, with everything she had gone through these past few weeks all she wanted to do was sit down with her friends and talk and laugh again, but sadly that happiness was short lived.
