Evan's POV

I woke up the next day way too early than usual. I sat on the bed for a little while before I decided to get my things ready and do some warm up.

After taking a bath, I heard my phone ringing so I get it and answer the call without looking who's the caller.

"Yeah?"

"Hey dude! Ready for our game?" Luke asked. Excitement overflowing his voice.

"Yep! As always." I answered. I put my phone on speaker and place it on my desk. I grab my uniform and some spares and started to dress up.

"Well, I heard that there's also a new member in Infinity Gang." I paused on what I was doing when I heard what Luke said.

"Who is it?" I asked with curiousness.

"Someone who has a connection with Brian."

I scoffed. "Really? Same tactics?"

"Maybe." I hinted the hesitation on his words.

"Maybe?"

"I don't know man. I think it's not just that."

"Then what is it?"

There was a long pause before he finally answered.

"The new guy and Brian were rivals back in Ireland before Brian moved here and became inactive for an unknown reason."

"Do you know the name?"

"He goes by the nickname Kryoz."

I slightly nodded my head.

"Well, we better start looking out on them and the new guy. They're one of the tough teams we compete with every year. Gotta go now, see you later." I said and finished up dressing.

"Yeah, later man."

I heard a loud beep and the call ended. I put everything I needed for today on my bag and go downstairs. I walked up to the kitchen and saw fifty dollars on the counter. I put it in my pocket and walked to the fridge, the usual sticky note was there with my parents hand writing on it. I never bothered to read it because it's the same as always like, 'Have a nice day!' or 'Sorry we came home too late last night.', some excuses like that. I drank from the bottle of the milk and toasted two breads and spread a little butter along with some maple syrup.

Once I'm done, I grabbed my bag and car keys and went out of the house. I knocked on Jon's house and heard footsteps getting louder. He opened the door and looked at me confused.

"Why are you here so early in the morning?" He asked. Now I'm the one confused.

"Uhm... early?" I asked back. He get his phone in his pocket and open it and show the time.

My eyes widen.

"It's only 7:03am??" I blurted. He nodded and hummed a little. I recheck the time on my phone and was surprised that it's the same.

"But I woke up on 6:20am! I even did some warm-up and talked with Luke for a long ass time!"

He crossed his arms and looked at me with apathy.

"Maybe you're just quick on finishing stuff or mistakenly looked at the time." He aswered and yawned. I just nodded and was about to leave when he spoke up.
