Third Person's POV

After Lui told his friends that he'll meet David outside, he started to walk towards the soccer field but saw no one. The lights were off and the only sound he could hear was the crickets.

Is this a prank? He thought to himself. He was about to leave when he saw a firefly coming towards him. It circle around him and soon went over the field. He watch as it dance in the darkness with only its diminishing light. Soon, it became two then three then four then hundreds came, lighting up the field. It surround him like it symbolizes the stars. He was too caught up by the scene that he didn't realize a song was being played in the background. He started to listen to the song and it sounded familiar.

You would not believe your eyes
If ten million fireflies
Lit up the world as I fell asleep

That song...

'Cause they fill the open air
And leave teardrops everywhere
You'd think me rude but I would just stand and stare

Then he hears steps getting closer to where he was.

"I'd like to make myself believe that planet earth turns slowly.
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep.
'Cause everything is never as it seems." A deep but beautiful voice sing along to the song. He look where the voice was coming from and saw David behind him with a rose in hand.

The song continue as he offer his right hand. Lui didn't hesitate and grab it. He place his right hand on David's shoulder while David's left hand was placed on his waist. Their other hands were holding tightly as they dance along with the fireflies.

'Cause I'd get a thousand hugs
From ten thousand lightning bugs
As they tried to teach me how to dance

"A foxtrot above my head,
a sock hop beneath my bed,
a disco ball is just hanging by a thread." David continue to sing. The chorus came again as they smile to each other. It was peaceful, just by them with thousands of fireflies flying around them.

When the bridge came, they both sing in unison. Lui singing the first lines while David became the second voice.

Lui: Leave my door open just a crack

David: (Please take me away from here)

Lui: 'Cause I feel like such an insomniac

David: (Please take me away from here)

Lui: Why do I tire of counting sheep

David: (Please take me away from here)

Lui: When I'm far too tired to fall asleep

The song was close to the end and they continue singing together. They continue dancing and when the song came to an end, David let go and placed the rose he was holding to Lui's right ear.

"Lui, I want you to know something." He uttered. Lui never left his eyes on him and let him continue talking. He took a deep breath and exhale.

'It's now or never.' He thought to himself and open his mouth. His lips tremble as it feels like his stomach was being twisted and stuff but he didn't back away and let out his voice.
"I love you." He said. He close his eyes and wait for rejection but instead, a pair of lips made contact with his. He open his eyes to see Lui kissed him in his tip toes. It lasted for 5 seconds before Lui let go with a grin. It was the only 3 words he's longly waiting for David to say.

"I love you too." He replied. Another smile was form in his lips when he heard him say the same words he said earlier.

"Will you be my boyfriend?" He asked. A kiss was the answer he got along with a nod. Another song played. Lui didn't recognize it. It was acoustic and unique. Then David smile down at him and hold both of his hands. David close his eyes and took a deep breath before starting to sing.

There was a pause. Lui could feel the warmth rising to his face as his heartbeat in sync with the song. Then David lift him and they twirl around as the chorus start.

Lui couldn't help but giggle and enjoy David's beautiful deep voice and the song dedicated to him.

"Did you made that song?" Lui ask while smiling widely. David look at him shyly with a blush on his cheeks before nodding his head.

Lui guess this day wasn't that bad. They stay on hugging each other until they saw from the distance the blasting lights coming from the stadium and decided to go back with a huge smile plastered on their faces while holding hands together.
