Chapter 40

Jonathan's POV

All I see around the school were... decorations. Lights over here, yarns over there, balloons every corner, it's too decorated but it doesn't mean it's not good in the eyes, it's just over premeditated.

Is prom that special?

"So, have you decided to finally go to prom?" Craig asked while we walk around the campus. I sigh and look at him with a bored look.

"No." I answered with a flat voice. He pout and cross his arms.

"By the way, who's your date? Is it Tyler?" I asked with a smirk. I saw a tint of blush form on his cheeks as he look away.

"I-I don't have any date okay? And Tyler? Are you serious?" He stuttered.

"Did he ask you already?"

He shake his head. I frown and stare at him.

"Why?"

He just shrugged and tried to avoid the topic but I didn't let him and ask again.

"Tell me the truth, are you expecting for him to ask you? Yes or No?" I said with a serious face. He sigh and slowly nodded his head.

"Yes, I am but I know he wouldn't." He answered in a sad tone. I nodded and look around then just in time, I saw Tyler with Evan and David turning around a corner on our right. I smile and made a plan.

"I'm just going to do something. Go find Ryan or Brian then I'll be right back." I said and run where I last saw Tyler, Evan and David. I stop running and walk on a slight faster pace while looking around. After around 5 minutes, I finally saw them talking with each other on a bench. The first one that notice me was Evan. He wave his hand which caught Tyler and David's attention and turn towards my way. I wave back and run towards them.

"Hey~" He greeted in a flirty tone. I roll my eyes which made him pout.

"Didn't you miss me?" He asked sadly. I prevent myself from smiling at his cuteness and keep a straight face.

"No because I just saw you this morning and I need to talk with Tyler about something." I answered and look at Tyler. Tyler's eyes widen as he point at himself. I nodded in confirmation.

"Ooooohhhhh! Rejected!" David yelled while pointing his fingers on Evan. Evan glare at him.

"Shut up!"

They started to bicker and I just rolled my eyes as I started to drag Tyler away from them without them noticing. Once we get on a quiet place, I let go of him and he look at me confused.

"Sooo, what do you want to talk about?" He ask as he sit on the grass. We're on the soccer field and luckily there's no practice and it is only the two of us so we can talk privately. I cross my arms and look ay him straight in the eye.

"Aren't you going to ask Craig to be your prom date?" I ask straight to the point. His eyes widen and a blush started to form in his cheeks. I want to laugh at how red his face was right now but I held it back. This talk needs to be serious right now.

"W-wa-wa-what are you talking ab-about?? Asking Craig to be my prom date? Psh. N-no way!" He denied and wave his hand on me frantically.

"Are you serious?" I glare at him. I saw him gulp as his adam's apple bob up and down hardly. He look away before nodding his head. They sure were meant to be together. Him and Craig were both stubborn. But no worries. I'll get my way for him to also spill the answer eventually.

I sigh. "Ok then. If you are serious then say it in front of my face." I challenged him. He look at me with a frown. He didn't say a word and keep his mouth shut. I raise my brow.

"Well? Tell me. Tell me you don't like Craig in a romantic way. Tell me you only see him as a friend. Tell me that it didn't crossed your mind to ask Craig out to be your prom date!" I ranted. He looked surprised and then closed his eyes.

"Ok ok! You got me! I like Craig alright?!" He confessed. A smile form on my lips and I look at him.

"So are you going to ask him now? Yes or No?" I ask. He took a deep breath.

"Yes-but-no." He answered unsure. I frown.

"What?" I'm confused.

He sigh and run his big hand on his brown hair.

"Yes it is a good idea to ask him to be my prom date but no because I'm sure he will reject me. I mean, look at me!" He pointed at himself. "I'm just a huge fvcking idiot with anger issues while he's this cute funny guy with knowledge! We don't match." He uttered in a hurt voice. I look at him sadly and sit beside him on the grass.

"You're not dumb. You're just not interested on learning and what are you talking about you and Craig doesn't match? You're like romeo and juliet except it's more called like "romeo and julio". But seriously, you two were fit for each other. Craig will answer you 'yes', I promise." I said with a smile. He frown.

"How are you so sure that he will answer me that?" He ask. I snorted.

"Bish, I'm his bestfriend. I know everything about him even if he doesn't tell me. We also live on the same roof remember?"

He took a deep breath and sighi deeply before nodding his head.

"Alright. I'll trust you." He stood up and offer his hand to help me also stand up. I accept it and we brush off the dirt on our pants. We walk back together as we started a new conversation.

"Thank you." He said out of the blue. It surprised me because I never heard him thank someone, especially to me. I recovered and smile.

"No problem. I'm glad to help." I replied. He smile back and it really suits him more instead of a frown.

"You should smile more often." I suggested. He then look away shyly.

"After school, I'll ask him." He said. I just nodded and didn't bother to reply back and we continue walking until we end up on where Evan and David were before. They're still there waiting.

"Where have you two been?" Evan ask with a frown as he look at us. Tyler raised his hand in defense as he sit between the two. David was just snickering beside the him.

"I just told something to him that you don't have to know." I answered. His frown deepen and he was about to say something when my phone started to ring. I grabbed it and look at the caller. Mini calling~

"Oh. I think someone is jealous.~" David singed.

"Shut up nogla!"

"Ey!"

I started to walk away to them before answering it. "Hello?" I greeted.

"Where are you?" He ask in concern.

"I'm heading towards the Cafeteria." I answered.

"Great! Me, Ry and Brian were there at our usual table."

"Alright. I'll see you guys there. Bye."

I ended the call and continue my way towards the cafeteria. When I walk inside, I immediately saw them sitting together and I walk towards their direction before sitting as well.

"Where have you been?" Ryan asked.

"I'm with Evan, David and Tyler." I answered. When I tell Tyler's name, I couldn't help but grin. They look at me weird.

"Why are you smiling like that? It's creepy." Craig asked. I just shake my head and held back my smile.

Oh Craig~ You'll thank me later.

Somehow, wattpad decided to fvck this chapter up. They're like, "woah woah woah! You wrote a very long chapter! Let's get it back to 282!" And 3/4 of my work was gone!! GONE! I checked my revision history and there's none! Now I rewrote it and it doesn't feel the same. ;( I'm sad... TvT I swear it's longer than this. I just can't remember the other parts because I wrote this like 3 days ago. ಥ_ಥ So sorry...
