Complicated Love

Daggers and Lies

I tossed and turned in bed as I was haunted with memories of the past.

London, England 1784

The Mikaelsons and I were at a ball celebrating King George's birthday. We were having a great time dancing and interacting with the humans like we belonged until one of Niklaus' followers had to screw it up.

Whilst in England Niklaus turned a group of powerful lords into vampires so we would be informed about the King's plans. We gained their trust and eventually had a network of spies across England.

Kol, being the womanizer he is, had an affair with the wife of one of the lords and almost cost us our lives. He told the wife about the daggers and the wife told her husband. So in retaliation he took a dagger and tried to kill us.

"Are you having a good time my love?" Niklaus asked as we danced.

"The best." I replied. He gave me a soft kiss as the waltz ended. We went over to Rebekah and talked with her new boy toy when Lord Francis, the traitor, walked into the middle of the room holding a weak Kol.

"These people have been lying to you!" He shouted over the music, "The Mikaelson family is filled with monsters!"

"This is why we can't have nice things." I heard Niklaus angrily mutter as he made his way over to the Lord.

"I shall prove it by killing this beast!" He said. Before Niklaus could reach him, Lord Francis plunged the dagger into Kol's chest. A gasp filled the crowd and Rebekah let out a sob as his body became grey and filled with veins. What the Lord didn't realize was that once he killed Kol his body also started to desiccate.

"They're all monsters!" Someone shouted. Then all Hell started to break loose.

"Elijah! Get Rebekah and Vanessa to safety!" Niklaus shouted as he was killing people left and right. Elijah grabbed our arms and started to bring us out the door when I saw Niklaus get surrounded by a group of people. He couldn't kill them all by himself. I stripped my arm out of Elijah's grasp and ran over to the group. The big dress that I was wearing made it difficult but I managed.

I started snapping necks and ripping out hearts and soon enough the only people standing were Elijah, Rebekah, Niklaus, and I. "We have to get out of here before news of this spreads." I said, covered in blood.

We started to leave when Rebekah said,"Wait! What about Kol?" Elijah let out a large sigh and ripped the dagger out of Kol. Once he awoke we left to the estate we were living in and gathered our belongings. As the sun started to rise we were already on our way to Croatia.

I woke up to the noise of water running. Sitting up in the bed, I saw Damon get into the shower. He turned around and noticed that I was awake and said, "You wanna join me?"

"Why not?" The warm water on my body felt amazing as Damon started to kiss up and down my neck. "I came in here to shower, not have sex again Damon."

"You're no fun." He muttered. I grabbed the washcloth and started to soap up Damon's body as he did the same to mine and soon enough we were out of the shower.
