The rest of the morning was really awkward. We spent it watching TV. I was cuddled up in Yoon’s comfy embrace, but couldn’t get rid o thoughts spinning in my head. I was wondering what was going on in Yoon’s mind. I bet he was wondering what I was thinking. This sounds weird. But it seemed like that. I could not relax for even a minute.

The tension between us built up so much, I couldn’t handle it anymore, so I begged Yoon to take me to the hospital. I had to apologize to Chan. I rushed upstairs and into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I took off the bandages on my head, because they were freaking annoying. Good thing I’m a fast healer. The wound was almost healed. I walked into the bedroom and put a dark pullover, with little bear ears on the hood, and light blue skinny jeans. For the first time ever – In my life – I put on sneakers and rushed downstairs gently combing my hair. We got to the hospital at about 2 pm.

Yoon had some plans he had to take care of – as always – but I didn’t complain. I let him go and went to the 4th floor, room 463 where I found Chan.

He was awake. To be honest, for a person who was hit by a car, he seemed pretty healthy. Chan smiled at me and invited me in. I gave him a sheepish smile and sat on the corner of the bed. My mouth started to quiver. I felt how I was barely able to contain the tears. I felt so guilty for all of this. I stroked his hand.

“Chan… I’m so sorry…” I whispered and lost it. I started crying silently. I wasn’t making any sound, but tears rolled down as a waterfall.

“It wasn’t your fault, Marley…” He wiped off the tears and smiled at me. “I am glad you aren’t the one stuck inside this hospital. Even if I have to hurt, I’m glad I’m hurting instead of you. I’m glad to know that you are safe.” He patted my hand and smiled. Right at that moment, I felt safe. I felt that I was going to be ok. I laid down and gently put down my head on his chest. “I love you, Marley…” I thought I heard him whisper that, but he was already sleeping, so it couldn’t have been him. Could it? Well never mind now. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.  “Marl…” The sound of Chan’s voice woke me up. I think my nap lasted less than 20 minutes, but it was a good nap. I looked up at Chan with my sleepy eyes and yawned. “Could you call Cha? I really want to see her. I wasn’t able to talk to her yesterday, so I wanna make it up.” I heard his scratchy voice and figured he was hurting. I picked up my phone and dialed Cha’s number.

I walked out the door and pressed the phone to my ear. She answered a few beeps later.

“Marley, what up, you little tard?!” She seemed very happy.

“Nothing much…” I squinted my eyes and held in my yawn. “You seem very happy today, but never mind that now. You’ll tell me later. Right now Chan needs you. He wants you to come.” I coughed. I think I was getting sick. Damn. All those standing in rain things were worse than I thought.

“Ok… Tell Chan I’ll be there in twenty minutes.” Her voice got a bit serious, she hung up.

I turned around and was just about to open the door when someone pulled me on my waist and kissed my neck. I thought  it was Yoon, so I closed my eyes and turned to face him.

I reopened my eyes and almost screamed, but controlled myself. “Hello, Lee.” I drawled and rolled my eyes.

“Oh come on! You’re not happy to see me?” He pretended to cry then laughed at me.

“What are you doing here?” I put my hands on my hips and was looking for the closest chair I’d be able to throw at him.

“I came to visit Chan. If you didn’t know, we’re kinda like best buds.” I snorted.
