I hugged my mother and little siblings goodbye and grabbed my bags, rushing outside to the rather obnoxiously beeping bus parked in the street. I struggled up the bus stairs to find my band sitting on the couch, "Thanks for the help" I muttered when I finally managed to get my bags in the bus and close the door.
"Let me guess you guys already called bunks?" I asked.
Jason burst out laughing before he finally said, "You have the bunk below Levi"
"What?!" I freaked out "Dude, no girls if I have to sleep below you!" Levi is known around town for sleeping with practically every girl in our high school.
"But Harley Barley somebody's has to keep all those girls company at night!" Levi joked.
"Yea, but this girl enjoys sleep and peace and quiet!" I yelled dramatically as I hauled my suitcases and guitars to the bunk area. "Oh and by the way since I'm stuck in the bunk under Levi, the bunk under me is my new closet" I called out.
I heard of the guys get up and turn on the bus's stereo and soon Blood on the Dance Floor was blaring throughout he bus. I gently laid my guitar cases in the bottom bunk and organized my clothes and shoes, making sure to put all undergarments where the guys couldn't see them. Last time they got ahold of them, I ended up walking into my room to see three guys running around my room not only wearing, but also fighting with my bras. Ever since, the guys have not been aloud in my room and I changed which drawers my clothes were in. When I was finished I arranging my clothes carried my hair and makeup products to the bathroom placing them on the shelves delicately.
I smiled as I entered the main part of the bus where the Jason and Levi were having a heated debate on who gets more girls. I plopped down on the couch next to Kenney as Jason and Levi started wrestling each other on the floor. I laid back so my head rested on his lap. He smiled and ran his fingers slowly through my hair. And no I don't like him like that, he and I have been best friends for as long as we can remember.
After 10 minutes of wrestling Jason and Levi finally stopped and dived on the couch dog piling on us. We all burst out laughing when the bus hit a bump and Jason fell on the floor. It took us about 5 minutes to stop laughing, and at this point, I'm pretty sure that our bus driver thinks we are completely insane.
"Harley baby make me a sandwich" Levi demanded a little to close to me for comfort.
"No, make your own sandwich! Why do I have to?"
"Because your the girl."
"Levi, I say this because I care about you, and because you are our only guitar player. If you value your life, do not ever eat Harley's cooking, it will be the death or you" Kenney said in quite possibly the most serious voice I have ever heard him use.
"Hey, my cooking is not that bad, you eat it!"
"Yea, because I am immune to it, I had to grow up with it!" he yelled dramatically, placing his hand over his heart.
"Don't worry guys I got it" Jason said getting off the floor and walking across the bus aisle to make the band sandwiches.
The bus started to quiet down after we had eaten. We all cuddled up on the couch together when Levi got up and put in the band's favorite movie, "School of Rock." By the time the movie ended Kenney and I were the only ones who hadn't gone to bed in the bunk area. I giggled when he turned towards me and tackled me starting a tickle war. We were having fun until a shoe came flying out of the bunk area and we heard two very angry band members grumbling about getting a room.
I looked up at Kenney and covered my mouth with my hands to muffle my laugh as I looked up to see his face turning red in embarrassment. He laid down next to me on the couch and rapped his arms around me, as I drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face, I heard him softly singing my favorite songs.
