Chapter 15

-Daniel's POV-

I woke to Anna sleeping soundly in my arms. I stared at her for a little bit remembering the events from last night. I'm happy to call her mine finally.

I untangled my arms from her waist and got ready. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen.

"So did she say yes?!" Logan said shaking my shoulders.

"Hey Logan, yeah she said yes," I said chuckling.

Logan let go of my shoulders.

"I feel like a proud dad, my little children are growing up," Logan said as he pretended to wipe a fake tear away.

"Welcome to the club, Daniel!" Corbyn said high fiving me.

The rest of the boys congratulated me.

"Speaking of Anna, where is she?" Jonah asks.

"She's still sleeping, I didn't want to wake her up" I reply.

"So her birthday is in a week..." Jack trailed off.

"We should do something special for her" Zach chimes in.

"But what would we do?" I ask.

"We could invite Aspen, Christina and some of her family," Corbyn says.

"That sounds like a plan," I say.

"So now what are we going to get her?" Jack asks.

"I've got mine sorted out," I say proudly.

"You do?" The boys say in unison.

"Yep," I say popping the p.

"Well, what is it?" Zach says excitingly.

I huddle the boys together and whisper, "I'm getting her a puppy"

I step back with a giant grin.

"I know she loves dogs by the way she plays with Kong, so I decided she should have one of her own" I continue.

"Dude, go for it," Jonah says patting my shoulder.

"We still need to go shopping for her gift," Corbyn says leaning on the island.

"Why don't we go to the mall today?" I reply.

"But how do we keep Anna distracted?" Zach says.

"Why don't I call Angi over? It would be nice to know that Anna would at least have someone to hang out with when she's in LA" I say.

"Sounds good" Jonah replies.

"Ok let me go call her then," I say as I exit out of the kitchen and into the backyard.

I unlock my phone and search for her number.

"Hey Dani," Angi says excitingly.

"Hey, Angi" I reply.

"So did she say yes?!" She continues.

"She said yes!" I say happily.

I could hear Angi scream. I chuckled.

"When do I get to meet her?" She says quickly.

"Well actually, you get to meet her today," I say still chuckling.

"Yes! I get a new friend!" Angi screams into the phone.

"Can I ask for a favor?" I ask.

"Sure what is it?" She responds.

"I need you to distract Anna for a while cause the boys and I are going shopping to get Anna gifts for her birthday" I continue.

"When's her birthday? I could also get something when I get back to my house" Angi says.

"Ok sounds good, can you come over in 15?" I ask.

"Already on it," She says as I hear a door slam shut.

"Ok thanks, Angi, see you soon," I say as I hang up.

*15 Minutes Later*

The doorbell rings and I go over to answer it.

"Hey Angi!" I say as I give her a hug.

"Hey Dani!" She replies hugging me back.

I back up and start talking to her, I then hear someone walking down the stairs.

"Good morning Anna," I say as I walk over to the stairs and kiss Anna.

"Good morning Dani" Anna smiles at me.

"So I'm guessing you're Anna," Angi says as she walks over to us.

"Yeah, and you might be?" Anna asks.

"I'm Angi, Daniel's best friend," Angi says holding out her hand.

Anna shakes her hand and they start talking. I could tell they were hitting it off.

"The boys and I are going to go out and run some errands, you girls can stay home and talk for a while," I say as I kissed Anna's forehead.

"Ok bye Dani!" Anna says waving at me.

"Bye loser!" Angi says as she sassily waves at me.

I laugh and I head out the door followed by the boys.

We get into our uber and head to the mall. Once we got to the mall we huddled around by the directory and discussed what we were going to buy Anna.

Jonah decided to get matching bracelets for Anna and him. Jack decided to get Anna a necklace. Corbyn decided to get Anna some shoes. And Zach decided to get Anna a designer shirt.

We all went to different stores as a group to get her gifts.

After a couple hours, we walked out of the mall holding handfuls of bags. Some for us and some for Anna. I looked down at my phone to check the time. 5:30 PM?! We left the house 3 hours ago, I guess we boys like to shop. We called up an uber back to the house.

When we arrived at the house, I opened the door and saw both of the girls having a pillow fight on the couch.

I smiled at the fact that Anna was happy and that she made a new friend.

"We're back!" I yell.

Anna stops, runs over to me tackling me into a hug.

"Welcome back, I see that you did some serious damage," She says pointing to the bags.

We all laughed.

"Ok, I should go then," Angi says as she picks up her back and starts heading out the door.

Everyone yelled bye as Angi waved and got into her uber.

"I'm starving, we should get something to eat," Jack says rubbing his stomach.

"Let's get some Chipotle" Jonah suggests.

"Sounds good to me" Anna replies.

"Well, what are we waiting for?!" Corbyn says as he runs out the door.

We then call another uber and head over to Chipotle.
