Ocean Eyes [ COMPLETED ]

Chapter 8

-Daniel's POV-

Jonah, Logan and the rest of the cars parked in front of the warehouse. I jumped out of the car and started to run to the door, then Jonah pulled me back.

"Dude what are you doing?" Jonah asked confused.

"I'm going in alone, I don't want you guys to come in with me. He's only expecting me to come, so we can't risk scaring him" I said staring at the group.

"Are you sure?" one of the swat members said.

"Positive," I said sternly.

"Be careful Daniel, if we hear anything I'm running in there" Logan pitched in.

The boys nodded in agreement.

I walked up to the door as everyone watched. I opened the door and walked in.

There she was, laying on the floor. I could barely make out something on her cheek. I could feel anger swell up inside of me. So I walked faster over to them both.

"Well, it looks like your knight has come for you," Dalton said as he put a foot on her arm.

I walked up to him and shoved him off of her. I looked down to see a giant bruise on her cheek. I couldn't hold it in anymore, so I looked back to Dalton and threw a punch.

My fist connected with his face, he backed up holding his face.

"So I see you want to play that game huh?" Dalton said looking me straight in the eyes.

"This is payback for everything you've done to Anna" I growled.

We started to throw punches at each other, I could tell I hurt him bad cause he started to back away.

He started to run somewhere in the dark warehouse.I bent down and placed a hand on Anna's cheek.

"D-Daniel?" Anna said weakly.

"I'm here Anna, it's ok you're going to be alright," I said as I pulled her closer to my chest.

"Get your filthy hands off of her" Dalton yelled pointing a gun towards me.

Anna looked at me with concern. I laid her gently on the ground.

"I promised to protect her, and I'm not planning on breaking that promise anytime soon," I said standing in front of Anna's body.

"Funny, cause you won't be able to protect her unless you're dead Seavey," Dalton said placing his finger on the trigger.

"SWAT, PUT YOUR HANDS UP!" the Swat team said as they rushed into the building being followed by Logan and the boys.

Dalton turned around surprised, he then looked back at me.

"You little piece of.," Dalton said before getting cut off by Logan tackling him to the ground.

The gun slide across the floor. I let out a heavy sigh, the swat team came over to Logan and handcuffed Dalton.

After they brought Dalton out of the warehouse, the EMTs came running in with a stretcher ready for Anna

-Annabelle's POV-

I was still laying on the ground in extreme pain. The throbbing in my head started to become unbearable. I could feel my eyes growing heavier and heavier with every minute.

"Anna don't close your eyes, I'm right here. You're going to be ok" I heard a voice say.

I slightly turned to see Daniel looking down at me holding my hand.

I placed a hand on his cheek and he leaned into my head. I saw a couple tears drop.

He leaned into my shoulder and whispered, "I love you"

"I love you too," I said weakly.

Then suddenly, everything went black. I could feel my hand drop from Daniel's face.

"No!" Daniel yelled.

And that was the last thing I heard before I fell unconscious.

-Daniel's POV-

Anna placed her hand on my cheek and I leaned into it. I started to cry, I couldn't stand seeing her hurt.

I leaned into her shoulder and whispered, "I love you"

"I love you too" Anna replied back weakly.

Then suddenly, her hand fell and she went limp in my arms.

"No!" I yelled.

No, I can't lose her.

"Stay with me, Anna!" I yelled.

"Where's the EMTs!" I yelled looking back.

"We're right here sir," one of the EMTs said as he came to my side.

I backed up so they could have room. I watched them check her pulse, and hooked her up to some machines.

She was then pushed away in the stretcher and I followed.

As they loaded her into the ambulance, one of the EMTs turned to me and asked, "Would you like to ride with her?"

I nodded and he helped me up into the ambulance.

I texted Jonah.

(D - Daniel, J - Jonah)

D-I'm going to ride in the ambulance with Anna

J-Ok, we'll follow the ambulance then

I shut off my phone and held her hand.

I placed my forehead on hers.

"I love you," I said weakly. 

....

I have a project due in less than a week :( I'm trying to prewrite chapters after school, but it's kinda hard considering I'm in class all day learning. Uploads are going to be slow so please be patient with me.
