Austin's POV

Two days! Two good days has gone since I was embarrassed and have not reported to school, partially due to the embarrassment but also due to the busy schedule at the company on the release of a new game based on the ongoing anime, world trigger. I recently signed the partnership with the anime publishers. Remember I have a company to run!

I still can't believe the nerve of that girl, Amelia. Sad to admit but my mind has been filled with a certain brunette and I find myself losing focus on my work. After having to guess about her on a few occasions, I tried to find out as much as I can about her, from the internet or anything, but nothing has come up yet.

I have been planning a comeback for her, something she won't forget!

"Austin, you have to go to school man," Leo advises as he steps into my apartment. He has it fixed in his mind that I am not attending school because of the incidence with Amelia.
I returned to my apartment again. Am no longer staying at the hotel.
You might be wondering how I still don't know about Amelia when she staying at my hotel! Well she left! No longer there... No information about her either! She's smart, even paid in cash! Aahh she must be loaded too, was my only conclusion!
"I don't feel like going yet and I'm very busy with work," I reply grumpily.
"Is it about Amelia?" He asks and my head snaps in his direction. I look at him with look that tells him to shut up and he raises his hands in mock surrender.
"How do you know her?" I finally ask what I have been avoiding.
"I met her on the plane from London."
"And....?"
"What do you want to know?"
I stare at him with a blank expression and I just turn to face away from him, making myself busy with some documents.
"Let's head to the mall," Leo suddenly says after reading a message on his phone. "Why?" I question suspiciously
"Aahh... Well... I just want to get something," he stutters, "can't we just go?"
I sigh, defeated and ask him to wait as I change into something good.

***********
We have been at the mall near school for almost an hour and yet Leo is not getting anything. He just keeps checking his phone.

"Are we waiting for something?" I ask getting irritated by each second. Before Leo gets the chance to explain he gets interrupted by a familiar voice, that has been in my mind for the past days now.

"Leo!" I hear someone scream... I turn to check who it is, hoping it's not who I think it is and my heart drops. How could he do that? I turned to Leo and find him with a smirk on his face...
"You got to be kidding me!" I exclaim.

Amelia hugs Leo excitedly, without even noticing me. Her friend, whatever her name is, notices and her eyes widen at the realisation.
I smirk, knowing too well the effect I have on girls. "A..Au..Austin!" She stutters. That grabs  the couple's attention. I raise an eyebrow when Amelia furrows hers!
"What is he doing here?" Amelia asks Leo.

"Austin is my best friend," Leo clarifies,  "I go everywhere with him!"

"Let's get this over with," I suggest, "the sooner the better!"

"Yes, great idea!" Her friend answers nervously.
'What are we even here for?'

*******

We have been following the girls around as they go to and  from different furniture stores with instructions of on where to deliver the stuff.
'Why couldn't they do this online?' I thought to myself, getting tired and bored.

"I'm going to get a drink, excuse me!" I said, walking off before anyone could stop me.

I find a McDonald's store and walk in. I quickly order a cold cola and some fries, ignoring the glances that the girls gave me.
I just finished taking my drink when Leo walks in, looking around for me. When he spots me he signals that I follow him. I quickly stand and follow him.

"Thanks for your help, but I have to go and start arranging my stuff now," Amelia said as we got close enough to them. "We can help with that too," Leo said. I want to object but Leo had already dragged them outside and I low key want to know where Amelia's home is.

Amelia's POV

I honestly wasn't expecting Austin to show up today. I had successfully avoided him or anything to do with him even though it was not a hard task seeing as he was absent for last few days.
That day, on Monday, immediately after my classes had ended I rushed to back to the hotel and checked out.
I had contacted a cleaning service and bought a few large furnitures for the house and some appliances that had been delivered and put in the apartment while I was at school. I also had some of my clothes delivered there.
So when I checked out of the hotel, I went straight up to my new apartment and tried my best to start unpacking a few of my appliances. I've left all my clothes still in the boxes in my closet.

The last two days have been peaceful enough, no one is sparing me any glances or whispering behind my back. The incidence with Austin have toned down and I'm actually enjoying my time here. I have gotten to know some of Elena's friends, Mia, Ann and Eva. They're quite fun.

I had invited Elena over to my place today and she said we need a major room make over of my bedroom, therefore we decided on going to the mall near school. We used my convertible Mini Cooper, that has finally ready since I bought it while in London.
I also decided to call over Leo, since we really haven't talked in a while and him coming over with Austin was really unexpected.

The shopping was really awkward and I was certain Austin would rather be anywhere else than here. I can't disagree that I kept stealing glances from him. He is really good looking, if only his manners and personality marched him.

"Thanks for your help, but I have to go and start arranging my stuff now," I tell Leo, as he comes back from getting Austin wherever he had gone off too. "We can help with that too," Leo suggested. I could tell Austin was hesitant but he kept quiet and just shrugged his shoulders.

I got in my Mini Cooper with Elena as Leo got in the car with Austin. They slowly followed behind, as we drove to my apartment.

...........

"So what do we have to do?" Leo asks

"You can start with unboxing some of those furnitures and appliances in the living room," I suggest.

"Oh and help place them in suitable places," Elena adds. She's been quite silent and this never happens.

"Are we really going to do some work?" Austin says in disbelief.
"You're free to leave!" I respond.

Everyone stays silent as I stare down Austin, not backing down one bit.
"Okay, let's get started!" Leo exclaims with fake enthusiasm, just to break off the awkward atmosphere Austin created.

We all go to do various things, Leo and Austin fixing the living room, and Elena and I working on my room, specifically, arranging my clothes in the walk in closet...

An hour down and Elena and I are done with the clothes and necessities. The bedroom bathroom is well arranged too. Now only decorating of the room is remaining.

I look around the room, "damn I forgot the paint!" I realize, since I can't find it. As we keep talking on what to do, Leo and Austin walk in, "We can go and get some for you," Leo says, "I'll go with Elena, while Austin seats back to help you were necessary."

Before I had the chance to protest, Leo and Elena are out the door. I remain standing in my spot, staring after them with only one thought running through my head!

'I'm doomed!'
