Walking on Sunshine

A whole week off of school, fall break was finally here. I was excited to have some time off of school to spend with my, well sort of family. The pack and their families were now mine, and it gave me this sense of security and happiness. I still hadn't heard back from Todd, despite the many times I tried to call or text. I wasn't sure what was going on, but with everything going on I didn't really have the time to investigate either.

I sat on a blanket spread out on a huge cliff overlooking the ocean. Paul and the guys were taking turns cliff diving for which I found them to be totally insane: 1- the ocean was freezing, 2- it was way too high up. I caught myself admiring Paul as he talked to Jared while waiting to jump. I felt very lucky to have found him, not to mention he was absolutely breathtakingly sexy. "Hey Josephine why don't you take a picture it will last longer." Quil called pulling me from my thoughts. He and the others were laughing, except Paul who smirked at me. I rolled my eyes and flipped Quil off. "Very ladylike. Why don't you come join us? It's not that bad." Seth said coming to stand by me. I gave him a look like he was crazy. "Are you high Seth? Way too dangerous." He sighed "Yep she's too chicken guys." Jacob started immaturely making chicken noises. Paul started laughing so I glared at him. "Ok babe, I'll do it. Whoops I didn't bring a suit, oh well." I stood up and pulled my jacket and tank top off leaving me in my sports bra and running shorts. Embry covered his eyes while the rest just kind of gawked at me. Paul looked like he was shocked and had no words. I walked up to him and winked "You going to help me do this or what?"

Paul pov

I was at loss for words. Not only was this totally out of character for Jo, I also had never seen this much of her body. I immediately became aware of the many guys gawking at her and growled in jealousy. "Babe you will be the death of me." I said finding my words once again. "Paul I swear if she gets hurt I will kill you." Embry stated still covering his eyes. "Oh shut up Embry. He won't let her get hurt, if anything he may just....." Leah started before earning a "eh eh eh eh eh, I'm not listening." from Embry. I grabbed her hand and walked her to the cliff. "Ok key is to either dive or fall straight down. You don't want to jump out because you will get hurt." She looked semi-terrified but was trying to keep it in. I laughed "Do you want to go together?" She nodded her head frantically. I gripped her hand tightly "Ok on three. One.... two...... three!" We both stepped off the cliff and within seconds of falling through the air hit the cold ocean waves. I pulled her with me to the surface then let go so she could swim. She was laughing hysterically "Oh my god Paul that was amazing!" She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me roughly. when we pulled apart I smiled at her "I should take you cliff diving all the time if that is what it gets me." She laughed and we swam to the beach. When we got there all the guys and Leah were waiting for us. "Don't worry Embry, back in one piece as promised." I said helping her trudge through the water to the sand. Embry covered her with her jacket and handed me my shirt.

Jo POV

"Let's get back guys. Emily is having dinner at her house tonight, pack meeting." Jared said and they all followed to Paul's truck. Paul and I trailed hand in hand "So does that mean I won't see you tonight?" I asked feeling somewhat bummed. Paul pulled me closer to his body "Babe you are basically a member of the pack now, you can come. In fact, I think its time you did." I grinned, happy that I would get to spend more time with him. Ever since he got hurt I couldn't get enough of him. I was sad every night when he had to leave, and couldn't wait to wake up the next day to see him. I had considered asking him to stay the night, but was scared it would be moving too quickly. However, the idea seemed more and more tempting each night I had to spend away from him.

Embry and I went home, changed and got ready for the dinner. We said goodbye to my dad and Aunt Lacey, being reminded by my father to be back by midnight. When we arrived there was this girl standing on the porch with Jared. "Oh that's Kim, Jared's new girlfriend. He just imprinted on her last week and just told her a few days ago about everything." She was very pretty and I was hoping she was nice so we could become friends. When we walked up, Jared introduced us. "I'm really glad there is another imprintee our age. I need someone to help me through all this." she stated hugging me. I chuckled "Don't worry its not as bad as it seems at first." Jared gave a a playful glare. "Oh and Paul out of all people. He has always been the reservation bad boy/hothead." she added. "Well Kimberly, this one has changed me for the good." Paul interjected sneaking up behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my cheek. I melted into him, loving the feeling of his strong arms around me. Like walking on sunshine.
