I banged my head against the window for what must have been the millionth time as my sister asked once again, when we'd be getting to the new apartment.

"Sweetheart, well get there when we get there",my mom sighed tiredly.

"Yeah but you said that an hour ag-"

"RACHEL!!", I cut her off and turned to her."Well get there when we get there-Mom's tired, just chill!"

She crossed her arms and glared at me then leaned against her door.

"Mom, pull over-I'll drive", I said as I undid my seatbelt.

She sent me a grateful look through the rearview mirror as she pulled over on the side of the highway.

I got out, then she moved over and I got in the front seat, putting my seatbelt back on.

Sighing, I looked at the side mirror, watching for cars, then when it was clear I pulled back out onto the highway and sped down it.

"What's the address?", I asked my mom as I pulled into the turning lane."I know it's somewhere near Dominos."

"208 Franklin Street", she said looking at the map.

"You got it", I sighed, then looked behind me before turning on my turn signal and getting in the other lane.

We roll up to a light, so I stopped and put my elbow on the door, leaning on my hand, and watching the sky.

It was a light gray but I could definitely see lightening in the distance heading for the city.

Lemme give you a quick recap.

My mom, my sister Rachel and I are moving to Greenpoint, New York- from Massachusets.

Therefore, we had to leave everything behind so Mom could get a job in the city at the law firm.

So here we are.

"There's the highschool honey", my mom pointed out the window as we passed it.

"Looks fun", I rolled my eyes and kept driving .

"It's about 9 blocks from the house so it's not that far of a walk", she shrugged.

Notice how it's only my mom, my sister and I.
