New Year's Eve

10:45 p.m.

When we got there, we all headed straight for the gym.

Music was blaring and I could tell half these kids were drunk already.

"So where's Amber?", I asked as I walked beside Roy.

"She's... around", he said as he looked around.

"What you did'nt pick her up?", I scoffed.

"No she said she was gunna meet me here", Roy he shot back.

"What kinda date are you?", I smirked in his face and crossed my arms.

"Hey babe-I'm gunna go talk to the guys for a few is that cool?", Ryan asked as his arm slipped away from around my waist.

"Uh, sure-yeah", I smiled and nodded, then he nodded back and walked off.

Wow, barely just got here, just got him back and he's already off.

My smile faded and I found myself staring at the floor until Roy nudged me.

"Come on", he said barely above a whisper and nodded for me to follow him.

So I did and grabbed Sydney's arm lightly as she walked passed me.

"Roy and I are gunna go kick it somewhere alright?", I said.

"Alright-I'm gunna look around for a some snack to dance with", she smirked as she looked around."OH MY GOD-RORY, THAT ONE LOOKS LIKE DYLAN O'BRIEN- IM COMING DADDY!!"

And with that, she took off towards him and I nodded to myself before walking out after Roy.

"What about Amber?", I asked as I caught up to him.

"I'll meet her later", he shrugged and looked ahead as he kept walking.

I nodded then continued following him until we walked outside in the courtyard in the middle of our school where the gazebo was.
