"What are you doing here?", Roy said as he walked around the counter and stood in front of me.
The guy just shrugged and held his hands out to the side.
"Wanted to come see how my boys are doi-"
"Were fine", Roy growled.
His dad just looked at him sadly and sighed.
"Son I just want to talk", he said.
"Well I don't", Roy glared at him and crossed his arms over his chest."And stop calling me "Son"...your no kind of father to me, so I'm nowhere near a son for you."
"Roy..", his dad said and shook his head.
I scoffed and looked down shaking my head as well.
"You stopped being his father when you left him 13 years ago", I mumbled.
"What was that?", his dad said to me as he looked around Roy, so I looked up and glared at him.
"I said-you stopped being his father when you left him 13 years ago!!", I said louder, then walked around Roy."Need me to get a fuckin bullhorn?"
"Rory, just go away-I don't need you here for this", Roy growled and pushed me behind him again.
I looked up at him, and in that moment, I forgot everything I was ever mad at him for-and I grabbed his hand like he did mine.
When he noticed and looked down then looked back at me with a confused look.
"What are you doing?", he said.
I stared at him for a few seconds, then started to say something but stopped and sighed.
"I know...exactly what it's like to feel abandoned, Roy-you know this", I nodded."And you were there for me..."
I looked down at our hands then held them up.
"So I'm gunna be there for you", I said.
He just stared at me amazed and I nodded once.
