Autumn's POV
I scream for my mom. I could here her footsteps as she neared my bedroom door. "Autumn what's wrong Honey?" She asks walking in. "My nose was bleeding in the middle of the night." I say looking at her. She nods. "We can go to the Clinic to get you checked." She smiles taking my hand. "Hold on let me change and clean myself up." I sigh. She nods and walks out of my room. I change into a hoodie and sweatpants and clean my nose. I throw my hair in a messy bun and walk out of my room putting on my gym shoes by the door. "You ready?" She asks. I nod and we make our way to the Clinic. When we get there it was basically empty. Just a lady with a toddler sitting next to her. "Hi!!" The toddler smiles looking at me. "Hi." I smile waving at her. "What's your name?" She asks smiling. "Autumn. What's your name?" I ask sitting next to her. Her mom gives me a small smile. "I'm Kai." She smiles sticking out her hand. "Nice to meet you." I smile. She giggles. She then starts talking about her family. And her puppy. "Kai Anders?" A nurse calls. "That's meee!!" She smiles getting up. "Bye Kai." I smile waving to her. "Bye Autumn." She smiles waving back at me. While I was talking to her mom she told me that Kai had a severe cold and wanted to get her checked out. "Autumn Niano?" A different nurse calls. I get up with my mom next to me and smile. "What seems to be the issue?" The nurse asks taking us to the little room.
*An hour later*
I'm being tested for a couple things. My mom is scared stiff. She thinks I might have Leukemia. The nurse comes in the room, a weird look on her face. She asks my mom to talk with her outside and she does. I sit there alone kicking my feet waiting for them to come back in. When they do my mom sits next to me. She takes a deep breath and then says the three words no one ever wants to hear. "Autumn...You have cancer."
