Jacob's POV
"Daddy!!!" My 6-year-old daughter screams as she runs into my arms.
"How was your first day of school, Princess?" I ask picking her up and placing her on my shoulders.
"Amazing! I made friends! This girl named Hailey and a boy named Grayson," She smiles.
"You stay away from those boys," I laugh as I take her to the car. "Momma's waiting for you at home." Her smiles bring me joy. The drive home is spent listening to her favorite songs.
When we finally arrive home, I let her out of her seat and let her run to the door. She throws it open and wraps her arms around her mother's neck. I follow after her.
"Hey Theresa," I smile kissing her forehead.
"Jacob you have to go shopping later, don't forget," She reminds me. I nod and grab my car keys. "I'll be back!" I yell through the small house.

When I return it's dark out. I push the front door open and drop the bags at my feet.
"I didn't miss bedtime did I?" I ask. Theresa shakes her head.
"She's been waiting up for you." I nod and rush into her room.
"Good night my Princess," I smile kissing the small child's forehead.
"Good night daddy!" She smiles as she takes her blanket and pulls it over her.
"I love you, Autumn," I sigh.
"I love you more." And with that, she's out like a light.
My precious Autumn. Named after the girl who stole my heart.
