Autumn's POV
"Autumn," Jacob whispers. "Jacob life isn't for everyone. It's been pretty clear it's not for me," I say looking at him. Tears brimmed his eyes. "Stop," He whispers. "I can't!" I yell looking at him. "Look at me!" I yell looking at myself in the mirror. "I'm fucking bald!" I yell. "I have no hair! I look like a fucking rat!" I scream. "You deserve someone who's pretty. Someone with hair! Someone who isn't dying!" "I don't want someone like that. And Autumn. You are pretty. You are the prettiest girl on this planet. I don't want someone perfect. I want you," He whispers pulling me into a hug. "How could you want me if I don't even want myself," I whisper. "I love you," He sighs kissing my forehead. "I love you too," I sigh as the door opens. "Autumn, It's not cancer," the nurse says smiling at me. I smile back at her. "It was a one-time thing. It shouldn't happen again." She smiles. I nod and thank her. "You're free to go," She says looking at my mom. She nods and takes my hand. I smile at her and then hug Jacob. When we get back home I go straight to my room. "We should go somewhere," Jacob smiles. "Like where?" I ask. "I don't know. Somewhere," He laughs. "The mall?" I ask smiling. He nods. I stand up and take the headscarf off. I put on my shoes and smile at him. "You're not gonna cover?" He asks. I shake my head. "That's my girl," He smiles at me. I kiss his cheek as he leads me downstairs. "Can you drive us o the mall?" I ask my mom. She nods and we get in the car. When we get to the mall, she tells us our time limit, giving us 2 hours, and we make our way inside. It doesn't take long for people to stare. "Freak," I girl laughs looking at my head. "Excuse me?" I ask looking at her. "I said Freak," She smirks at me. "I'd like you to know I have cancer," I say looking at her. "Well wear a wig, no one wants to see that," She says pointing to my hair. "How about you wear a mask. No one wants to see that," I say pointing to her face. She scoffs and walks off. Jacob laughs and smiles at me. "That's my girlfriend!" He cheers laughing. "I did what I had to," I laugh.
