Sitting on the plane back from Central City to Starling, you were biting your nails as you thought everything over, and you were feeling very overwhelmed.

You had known from the moment you accepted this mission that your future self would be involved, but seeing her in person was frightening. It made the entire mission so real. But there were still some points that needed to be explained, still some questions that needed answering. But would you ever find out? Would all the cards ever be on the table?

Your future self was with other people – presumably they were from the team of legends she had talked about. Mick, Haircut, and Blondie were the names you had heard.

Searching through your bag for a pen, you pulled the lid off with your teeth and held it there while you wrote the three names on your wrist. You knew that Mick and Haircut were working with your future self, so it was a safe assumption that they were helping her try to save the guy who would sacrifice himself for you. Grabbing the email print out, you searched for the man's name.

Leonard.

Smiling to yourself, you wrote the name below the other three. Tilting your head to the left and right thoughtfully, you considered adding another name, until eventually you did, and you wrote your own. The information you had been given made it seem like your future self was a good guy, trying to save a life, but when you had met her, she had seemed quite sketchy, and so you weren't entirely sure whether or not to trust her. She had definitely seemed more confident than you are now, and seemed comfortable around the men, although somewhat irritated that they didn't know you had been watching.

They had all seemed worried that this 'Blondie' was going to catch up with them, but something you had yet to figure out was whether or not this person was an enemy who wanted them dead, or a friend who thought they shouldn't save him. Or maybe that they couldn't save him. If that is what they were thinking, were they right? Were they pessimistic, or did they have more information than you, maybe even than them?

Pushing the thoughts of failure out of your mind, you thought about asking your future self for help, for more directions, until you remembered that she had told you she wouldn't be logged onto the emails, and therefore you couldn't contact her.

Sighing, you put your head back and sighed, thinking over the events of the night for the entire one and a half hour flight. You were tired, but you couldn't sleep. You wanted answers, but you couldn't get any. You just had to try and stick to the cryptic directions you had been given.

So this chapter was super short! Sorry about that, but it is as long as it needs to be for the story.

The next chapter will be quite short as well, but not THAT short. It just won't be my normal 2,500 word length.
