The next morning, it was a Saturday, so you didn't have to go to work. Getting ready and leaving the house, you headed to Jitters, a coffee shop you had now become accustomed to visiting each morning. As the friendly barista waved at you and started making your usual, you sat at a table and got out your phone, searching google got information about Barry Allen. By the time your coffee had been made and you had left, you hadn't learnt much, but you knew that somehow the lightening he was struck with passed all the way through his body, harming him but not killing him.

10 minutes later, you walked into the CCPD, still sipping your coffee, and asked someone where the forensic scientists area was.

"You're not a reporter, are you? My daughter is a reporter, and she's the only one that Barry wants talking to him." He said, eyeing you suspiciously.

"I'm not a reporter." You responded, smiling at him. "I actually met Barry Allen a few months ago, the night he was put into a coma, and I wanted to make sure he was ok. I found out he was awake on the news last night."

"Oh, ok. He'll be in his lab, up the stairs and to the left."

"Thank you!" You smiled, taking off in the direction you had been given.

When you reached Barry's lab, you stopped in the doorway, taking a deep breath before entering. At the sound of your footsteps, his head snapped round, and you smiled at him.

"Hey, Barry. You probably don't remember me, but we met the night of the particle accelerator explosion. I heard you woke up, and I wanted to see if you were ok."

"Hi. Y/N, wasn't it?" Nodding your head, you walked properly into the room. "I'm fine, thank you." Furrowing his eyebrows together in confusion, he looked down at the floor, and then back up at your face. "Hey, didn't you say you were from Starling? Did you travel 600 miles to see if a man you met once was ok?"

Shaking your head and laughing, you explained that you lived here now. After a moment of silence, you piped up again.

"Hey, do you want to get some coffee? I'm buying."

"Sure!" He smiled, grabbing his coat and swinging it over his arm. "I'll never say no to free coffee."

*******

You sat down at a table to let Barry collect the coffees you had already ordered and payed for.

Watching as he picked them up, you suddenly saw something very weird happen. Everyone, everything except you and Barry slowed down.

He grabbed the cup that was falling to the ground and put it back on the tray, looking over at you with a confused and frightened expression.

When things had returned to normal a mere second later, you looked around at the other people to see if they had noticed anything odd, but they all continued as if nothing had happened.

Barry walked over to you and placed the two coffees down on the table, before sitting opposite you.

"You saw that too, right?" He asked, and you nodded.

"Yeah. Everything just... stopped. Or at least slowed right down. What do you think that was?"

"I don't know..." He said, looking around warily. "Lets just pretend it didn't happen, OK? But if it ever happens again, tell me, and we can figure this out. But right now, it was probably just our imaginations."

You nodded, unsure but not wanting to disagree, and sipped your coffee.

What do you think was happening there? I should mention for anyone who didn't figure it out that that scene was from Flash episode one when he first super speeds.

She saw him speed up, what does that mean? Theories?
