6 Months Later
You turned the TV on and collapsed on the sofa, listening for anything out of the ordinary. Ever since that weird day 6 months ago, you had been looking for answers, some sort of explanation, and you had hoping that the news would give you a clue, since watching it that night had helped you figure out what was happening with the future version of 'Haircut'.
You hadn't forgotten about the mission you had been sent on, not by a long shot, but you hadn't been able to complete the 4th step. At first you had been eager, trying to find out what it meant, wondering what you had that you were supposed to 'train yourself to use'.
That's why, over the first month, you had searched for houses being rented in that area, and you had decided to rent a relatively cheap one, enabling you to be in Central City if anything important were to happen there. To get enough money, you had rented out your house to some people, and they have been staying there for the past 5 months. You hadn't returned to Starling since, as you had a job here now, under the same company you had previously worked for, just a different branch.
Every night, you sat in front of your TV watching the news, hoping something would happen that would help you understand. And this night, just as you were starting to lose hope, it finally did.
"CCPD Forensic Scientist Barry Allen has finally woken up from his coma, after being struck by lightning 6 months ago. Although still getting back to grips with reality after being out for so long, he seems to be adjusting back into his work environment well, says his co-workers." The broadcaster said.
As the TV changed to a new story, you zoned out, thinking about what you had learned. This man had met you that night, and he was the only real person you could find who you could tie to that event. Although he didn't know anything about the emails, he had seen you that night, and maybe there would be something he could say that you didn't already know.
Sorry for another short one, but I'm doing it like this because it needs to happen for the story, not because I'm running out of ideas. I know exactly how this book is going to go, and I've almost finished writing it all.
Stay Legendary!
