John - Soooo how are we gonna do this?
Alex - What do you mean? I think it will make it clear enough if you just put your arm around my shoulder.
John - You think people will get what we're trying to say?
Alex - Why so worried all of a sudden? People here are stupid, but they're not dumb.

John hesitated before he slung his arm around my shoulder. I felt comforted by the sudden warmth. I pressed my books close to my chest as I took a deep breath. John laid his hand on the front door, but before he pushed, he looked back at me. I could see fear in his eyes, he was terrified inside, but he didn't want to admit it. I've learned that that's a normal thing John does. He wants to be the Alfa, he wants to be the leader. And being scared doesn't make him feel like he is.

John - You sure you're okay with this? Maybe we just shouldn't do anything.
Alex - John! Calm down, it's gonna be okay.
John - O-okay. Here goes nothing.

The door opened.

Peggy POV

Angelica, Eliza, and I were talking at our lockers. For once, we weren't talking about Alexander and his little adventures. It almost felt relaxing, not having to worry so much. Eliza was right this whole time. I think the two  of them were sharing math answers, I don't know, I wasn't really paying attention. I was just waiting for that moment when the sound of that annoying bell would echo through the halls. Everyone was waiting for it. Then as soon as it happened, it was no longer a highschool. It was the thunder done. But instead of the halls being filled with that extended ring, it was filled with whispers and gasps. Screams and whoas. I turned my head to where all the attention was coming from.

Walking down the hall stood Alexander Hamilton, with John Laurens at his side. Last week, that would've been normal. It wouldn't be anything different, but this time, it was oh so different. Johns hand draped over Alexanders shoulder and played with his hair that fell to his shoulders. It was rare that the boy ever wore his hair out of a ponytail. Alexander held his book close to his chest, while John held his own at his side. John wore a dark blue hoodie, while Alexander had a dark green sweater. The colors seemed to go together perfectly, or maybe it was just me. Every step they took, it seemed to send everyone into gasps. John had a smirk that seemed permanently painted on his face. He knew what he was doing, and he was oh so proud.

Alexander seemed to have spotted the three of us at the end of the hall. He looked up at John as he pointed to us. John nodded and took his hand off of Alexanders shoulder, only to have it being gripped by a certain hand a few seconds later. Alexander pulled the boy over to us until all five of us were facing each other. I didn't even know what to say, no words came to my mind.

Thomas - PEGGY!!! PEGGY!! YOU WON- oh....ummm...I see you've already found out.
Angelica - What's going on here?
John - I think we all know what's going on here.
Eliza - Y-you guys are dating!!
Alex - Yep!
Peggy - SWEET JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL!!!

Ring ring

John - There's the bell!! See ya Lexi.

John planted a kiss on Alexanders cheek before he was quickly swept away in the crowds of people. The halls seemed louder than before, even though sometimes that didn't even seem possible. Every person was in a different conversation, but they were all talking about the same thing. Even if they weren't talking, everyone's mind must've been on the two boys who's had proudly made their way down the hall.
